Do you go out if you are sick with something that people can get from you? Expecially where there is going to be lots of kids? Last saturday my friend called us to tell us they are making BBQ and everyone was going to be there so we should go as well. When we got there one of the ladies was sick with some virus. Now there were 12 adults and 10 kids there (out of these 10 kids 7 are going overseas soon). whe she chose to come is beyond me now 5 of those kids are sick (I dont know about hers and her sisters kids as I have not seen them) but my son is very sick poor thing and has not been eating for 2 days with high temp. and all that. Wea re going on our holiday in 3 days time and God help us if he does not get better in time. I never go anywhere when someone in my family is sick. If people call us to tell us they want to visit and someone in my family is sick I tell them its there choice but this is the situation. And this is not the first time she did this and it pisses me off.

If I felt that bad, I wouldn't go anywhere simply because I wouldn't be physically up to it. I have a lot of kids in my family so occassionally they will be around each other when they have a cough or something. When I notice it it does send up a flag and I make sure to take certain precautions while in that childs company because I don't want my kids to get sick. But, going to school and what not .. the potential is always there for your kids to catch something.

Funny you should mention school. We went to the school that my son is going to go next year to fill up the forms today and it was 9:30 and this little boy came to the office with a note from his teacher that he needs to go to sickbay as he is not feeling well the poor child looked like he didnt sleep for a week and was coughing so much it scared me. This is 30 min after school started how can the perents of this child let him go to school like that I have no idea.

I won't leave the house if I or any one else in my house is sick, unless it's to go to the doctor. I would hate for someone else to get sick because one of us had gone out & given them the germs! That woman was very inconsiderate & needs to think of others! I hope your son gets better in time for your trip.

The meds are starting to work so I am hoping he would be ok. I would hate to infect everyone on the plane but its not likely we can cancel or move the date of the trip.

I don't go out and didn't let my kids go out when they were sick, especially if I knew it was something that could be easily spread. My boss has a great attitude about illness, she would rather you stay home and keep your germs to yourself than to come in and spread them around to the entire staff.

At my husbans work they are legaly prevented to go to work if they have a virus as they work with old people that are already very sick.
It is commen sence. My friend has a daughter that has a very rare illnes (something that does not even have a name) I belive she is 1 in 30 people in the world to have it and the only child. Her imune system is very weak. One day she called me to come over and I said no sorry I would rather you didnt as we are all sick with the flu. 2 days later the girl had to be taken to hospital because she got some bug and that reacted so bad they almost lost her. and ever since that day I have said that if they came to my house that day I would forever blamed my self for what happened to the little girl I would have belived that it was us that gave her the bug.
