Our Cat Got Hit By A Car But Is Still Alive.  |

 Our cat named Valentine(born on Valentines Day)had a bad habit of seeing another cat across the road and suddenly chaseing it. She would block everything out and just suddenly chase at a cat across the road. Her luck eventually ran out when she saw an animal and suddenly started running while 2 cars were going down the road in opposite directions(we have a 2 way street). There was basicly no way she could dodge the vehicles because they were on both sides. I didn't actually see her get hit but I notice 2 vehicles suddenly stopped beside each other like something had happened. She managed to run in our backyard although she was hurt. I found her laying on the back porch hyper-vinelating. I brought her in and she continued to lay with no response although she was conscious. Than she suddenly started rolling around screaming in pain so we took her to the vet. She had broken ribs and her blood sugar was very low. They thought she might be a diabetic and she does drink alot of water. She also really hurt her left leg and we had to bring her home in a cast and her toes and claws eventually fell off. Although she continues to have left leg problems shes back to her normal self. Were so glad shes ok. Shes the most friendly cat we have.

2.  schummi (769) | 3 months ago |  well..thats really sad dear...but thank god that it has nt been much .....but still how long its been that she is hurted...and dear......dont leave them on open like that...becouse these creatures live in their own world...and donno the precautions we take regularly....so take care of her....

Vehicles do not bother about animals. they just go on driving as if the animal is not there in front.
And animals are innocent. Theydo not understand that it is not safe o run on the street. | |

My young kitty had to be in a cast for 3 weeks when my daughter shut her leg in the door and broke it they put her foot in the cast too and when the cast come off her foot was swollen up as big as an apple but the swelling went down and she is healing great now.
I am so glad your kitty is doing well and hopefully she will be scared of the road now.

| 8. queenofarms (1344) | 3 months ago |  OH thats so sad. I loves cats. I'm glad to hear she is okay. I believe cats do have 9 lives...LOL...We had a cat I truly believe she had 9 lives. She got under the hood of my husbands truck. He starts it and chops her ear off. Then he ran over her 3x. Then she gets under the truck hood again and gets her tail chopped off. This cat went through alot and survived everytime. And to tell you the truth I don't remember whatever happen to her. I think she just disappeared one day.
