Does anyone watch Planet Green or Life With Ed on TV?

I just recently discovered the Planet Green channel. I have been watching Living with Ed for a while, so I see his show is on there a lot.
I try very hard to be green but am learning new things I did not know about before. Now that I am getting new ideas, I hope to lesson my footprint on the earth and save money, as well.
I was wondering if anyone else watches the same.

I watch both all the time. In fact, I have my DVR set up to record all the new episodes of Living with Ed, even if I'm not home. My favorite show on Planet Green is Wasted.

I love WASTED! I am amazed at how bad and lazy some people are. Not to say I am perfect, but I try, I really try. These people are just friggin' lazy!!
The one who said his recycle bins blew away, and did not bother to call for new, FREE ones, is stupid!! How lazy can you get?
We don't have air-conditioning, and I will never get it, we have all the bulbs that are low usage, recycle, and all the other stuff. There is more I would like to do, like have solar power, but expense, right now, is holding us back. One day...
But it's taught me more than I already knew, as well as the whole channel. I have gotten annoying to my friends and family with my green advice, I guess like Ed, LOL!

I'd never heard of the show before, but I found his book at the library a couple of weeks ago (Living With Ed, I believe was the title) and it mentioned the show several times.
I've been trying to find the show, but apparently we don't have Planet Green in my area. I really wanted to see it too.
Do you like the show? The book was pretty good.

I enjoy the show. It's on HGTV sometimes. Here is the website...

I didn't know he had a book. Thanks for the info. I will look at it next time I'm at the library.

When I got the book, I did look up at the website and it said it was supposed to be on HGTV here late Sun night, something like 11:00 p.m.
I stayed up specifically to watch that one Sun and it wasn't on, so I don't know what the deal is.
I don't think the book has been out long, because the only reason I noticed it was because it was on the front shelves of the library in the 'new book' section.

I've been watching Planet Green off and on. I've always been 'green minded' but I've been working harder at it for awhile now. The Planet Green channel is really inspiring, especially the green renovation show. Makes me want to completely overhaul this house so it can be green.

I know! I rarely use paper towels if I can help it. Sometimes I will because I don't always have access to sponges and sometimes I don't want to use a sponge because I don't want to use something that will generate a lot of bacteria or anything. We can't recycle where I live during the summer because we don't have a program yet but when I am at school I recycle everything.
One of my roommates is extremely wasteful and it drives me insane. They'll throw anything away anytime they 'think' it may be bad or if they can't use it. They also live off paper towels like they're some sort of god or something and I hate it.

It also makes me feel good that I do a lot of things that are green. I am doing better than I realized!
That one show, I think it's called "Trashed" where they go to these very wasteful families and try to teach them how to improve, is scary. I can't believe how wasteful they are!!
One family did not recycle because their recycle bin blew away. They couldn't call for a new one? They're free! And they used 2 or 3 rolls of paper towels per day!! I MIGHT use one per week!
It's those type of people, who are lazy and inconsiderate, who screw things up for the rest.

You know I do. I am addicted. Love it, love it. I really enjoy Living with Ed. I learn something every single time I watch it. He makes me laugh the way he is in competition with Bill Nye The Science Guy. He is really serious about all this but I like that he does not seem to take himself too seriously.

I like that they live like any other middle income family. It's so nice to see someone, who obviously has made a great deal of money, not act like a rich butthole. He is so down to earth.

I've never watched the shows, didn't even know they existed before I purchased his book...Living with Ed. Its a good book, and gives ays to "go green" in three phases. First is low cost and low outcome, then comes more cost, but in the end cost savings, and a better impact on the planet. The las phase is expensive to start, saves a ton of money in the end, and makes a huge impact on the preservation of our planet. We are taking baby steps, and noticing differences in little areas of our part of the world.
