I used to play bingo when I was younger, but haven't played it for a long time now. I wasn't one of those people who went to bingo halls and had 12 cards all neatly lined up... I would just play when the opportunity arose.
I won bingo when I was about 5 years old. It was at a community fair and I was playing with my father. He was helping me. There were heaps of prizes to choose from, including a garden hose and a beach sand castle-making kit. My father kept saying "Get the hose" but what was a 5-year-old want with a hose??? I chose the castle-making kit, of course.
That was a fun day that I'll remember forever.

Oh, that kit is long since gone. I believe my mother gave it to one of my younger cousins after I outgrew it.

Hehe. I had a friend whose cousin loves going to these bingo places. I guess she's hooked. But that's because she actually experienced winning, and it was a big amount. I don't think I could spend all day just looking at these cards and marking numbers. Blech! Boring. Beides, I never win at anything! The only time I got to play, or should I say forced to play was in school during the family day. hehe. I guess they can't think of any activity anymore.

I have played some bingo. I talked my daughter into going with me two or maybe three times and everytime she's come she won but she hates bingo and only went to humor me. My favorite bingo story is the one year my family came to visit. I didn't hardly have enough grocerys in the house to feed everyone much less go to bingo. My family decided we should all go to bingo, well no problem we were at the ages where we still needed babysitters and because everyone knew I didn't believe in babysitters looking after my children I offered to stay home and babysit. NOT going to happen eeryone wanted me to go. The dads said they were babysitting. After a private little conference with my husband and a few tears telling him how was I supposed to tell my family I couldn't afford to go he just said take what money you have and go, we'll get through it we always have. So I went. Got there and because the prize money was so high the hall was full. Good I thought there was no place to sit and my family was told no way would I be able to stand 2 1/2 hours to play bingo, when all of a sudden a big fellow hollered over here and he had enough seats saved for us. Oh brother I thought, but I bought my cards like everyone else wondering how we'd survive. I won the first game which was 58.00, then I won the fourth game that was 125.00, so now I was real happy because that more than paid me back and money to the good. I didn't win anything else until right near the end. I got my numbers one after the other and when I yelled bingo everyone shouted Oh that can't be right. The bingo caller said we're checking one card, then when she said yes folks that's a good bingo, congratulations I knew I must have won big but had no clue what I'd won. Finally the caller said pay that winner 2,675.00. I immediately started to cry and I couldn't play the last two games because I was shaking so bad and everyone at my table played my cards while I got myself together. I also won the last game of the night which was 95.00. It's been years and years since I have gone to bingo I never did get very attatched to it but the win was a huge help.

Yes I do know how to play Bingo.
But I do not like it much. I found that the old people all had their favorite seats, and got very mad if someone got their spot. They did not like newcomers.
My dad once played and he yelled Bingo at the wrong time. I got extremely embarassed. maybe that's the reason I do not like Bingo that much?

I haven't played Bingo since I was a child, but would love to play again.. My son and his wife moved in with us just recently, so now we have someone extra to play with.. It is a simple and fun game with instructions included in the game.. It is easy, relaxing and fun to play Bingo.. Get the instructions out and you will see how easy it is to play.. Good luck..

I know how to play bingo. you get bingo cards with numbers on them ranging from 1 to 75. You will have 24 random numbers on each card and a FREE space in the middle. A person designated as the bingo caller will call out the numbers and you mark them off on your card if you have that number. You also fill in or mark off the free space also. Each game is different. They caller will tell you what kind of bingo you must have. Some bingos are cover all. That means that you cover all of the numbers on your cars. Some are straight line and diagonal bingos. If you get a bingo then you hollar out BINGO. If you are the first person to call out, then you win. If someone else calls out, then you split the winnings with those people equally.
