It depends ajithlal if the person will not watch what he will eat..If the intake of food then is more on fat and sweets then for sure, it will be easy to replace those muscles by fat!

Hi Ajithlal, I know my friend has gained weight after he left the gym. I have found that if one do a tough excersise or hard training and leave it, the person will gain weight. If a person just do cardio then he/she will lose weight and will not gain weight again. So if any one want a break then he/she should go for jog every day- this way the person will not gain weight, yes need to control the diet as well. enjoy :)

It is very possible if the person does not get out and do much. It all depends on if they eat a well balanced diet also. They have to make sure not to overeat and to make sure they work off or walk off whatever they did eat for that day. They must not lounge around. They have to do something so the food that they eat, does not turn to fat. They may lose muscle also if they do not stay active.

Usually, a person can stop working out for 2 weeks before the muscles start to deteriorate (at least that's what the body building mags I used to read said). What you do for the 4 weeks determines if you gain weight and fat or not.
My husband is a walker. We walked all over the place. He's not much of an eater. So he stayed about the same. I think I would have maintained or lost weight if we hadn't gone to restaurants. So it depends on the food and what kind of vacation it is. If you just sit on a bus with tour guides talking to you all day, I would say you will get fat. If you hike or bike around europe and eat at intervals from grocery stores or keep track of calories, then you won't gain weight.
