A few minutes ago, I was reading my daughter the Little Mermaid
story book.
Then she left the room for a minute,
so I hopped back online to post for a minute.
Sometimes I get online and stay for a few hours,
but lately, I'm finding that I have very little time
to hang out.
But I still love to chat with my friends.
It's a real stress reliever.
I read such interesting stories.
Would you like to drop by for a few minutes and
chat with me today, on MyLot?
What are you doing right now?
What were you doing just before you read this post?
Please share a special or funny moment from your day.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything special or funny to add to this post as I have just been lazing about recovering from an appendectomy, but I have just returned to myLot after a very long absense. Until today I had not made a single post on this account, though I created it a while back ago. I guess I just kind of forgot about it. I had another account a very long time ago but it has been long since gone. I really wish I had enough to do so that I am not relying on the computer so much for entertainment, but at the moment that isn't the case.

Hi, beauty. I am 10 hrs late to chat with you in real time. Sorry to have missed it. It is 2:00 in the morning where I am and I am waiting for a sleeping pill I took to take effect. I am having trouble sleeping lately.
We had a beautiful family day. The whole thing was pretty special because my son, who has been experiencing some delays in speech development, has all of the sudden made great strides and we are having some of the cutest little discussions with him now. I love, love, love watching my son grow and especially see him conquer something that has been giving him trouble.
Isn't motherhood great? Be it sharing Little Mermaid books or having sweet little conversations..... it never gets old!!!!

hi,
Nowadays, I too find it difficult to come online and participate in discussions. But, whenever I get time, I come online and atleast check out all the discussions if not reply. I just love to check interesting topics. I just came back after dropping my son to school. I go thru allt he discussions and reply only if I feel like replying :)
Take care..

Nothing too out of the ordinary happened here today, but your mention of The Little Mermaid reminded me o something.
My mother was born in Odense Denmark, where Hans Christian Andersen is from, and when she took me to Denmark a while back, I had my picture taken infront of a big statue of The Little Mermaid. Tell your daughter that!

I will! I will! Her Little Mermaid is not the Disney story, but
one involving five mermaid sisters and the love of one sister for a prince
that she rescues from a ship wreck.
Yes, I know that is probably similar to the Disney Mermaid tale.
But this one has no mermaid named Ariel.
I always suspected that the story was taken off of a classic
fairy tale.
I will look it up online.

not to much here. I am sort of into this movie which is sad that is on lifetime called "Amber Alert" . After watching it I will be worried about my neice and my nephew. That is very sweet that you are spending time with your daughter.

Yes, the weather was so nice in our area, too.
We didn't do anything special.
Just hung out and enjoyed family time.
And I did some posting on MyLot after
my spouse left for late shift.
He's off work tomorrow.
So I'll post more then.
Thanks for sharing your day with me.
It's nice to chat with you.
Be well.
Have a bright and beautiful week.

beautyqueen hi I am glad you are reading to your little
'daughter as that will help her be a good reader too.Mylot
is indeed a stress reliever and has helped me to avoid
depression over being retired. I am mylotting right now and trying to get my high glucose reading to come down after
having ate four egg and shrimp rolls and a huge chunk of read ripe watermelon. I am like that old comercial for tums, I cant
believe I ate the whole thing. lol and lol.

My fiance and I just got done eating. His cousin and her boyfriend came over to visit for a little while. We watched Don't forget the lyrics, it's a pretty good show. I came on here before they got here, but then abandoned the computer once they rung the doorbell. Right now our cat is sitting beside me, and looking at me to be petted. I told her to give up the seat, but she wouldn't. Cat's. Have a Great day.

My cat does that to me, too!
She used to sit on my lap in between my arms
and I would post around her. That was tough!
But the other day, she went to leap off me
onto the floor and gouged a big hole in my leg.
That thing burned for an hour!
She does not get the privelege of sitting on my lap anymore
during MyLot hour!
Thanks for sharing your day with me.
Be well!

I wish my cat would do that.
She is an all or nothing kind of girl.
She is very possessive of me.
That was cool before I had a kid.
Now, not so much.
She's gotta scoot over!
Mama got a brand new job.

Missy doesn't do that. I used to live with my friends and there was one cat who would sit on my lap while I used the computer. She was just sitting in my chair, probably because the laptop was on the ottoman. She's laying on the love seat beside me, but up on the seat.
