Today when I was hoeing some weeds in my garden and admiring how tall my veggies have gotten, I noticed my radishes really grew so started looking for any that may be ready to eat and found this big one. I have never seen a radish grow this big before. Have you?

WOW! That is the biggest radish I have ever seen. What are you feeding these radishes?

I pulled several even bigger than this one. lol Horse manure and compost are my only fertilizers. Funny thou..hubby is the one who wanted them in the first place but now told me not to plant anymore. These babies are HOT! He can only eat one or two at a time. lol

I have heard that this year veggie are going to grow big.
You just proved it.
I planted my veggie very late, so I don't have any veggie ready to eat yet.

Polo, I didn't plant my garden till the last day of May. Heck, I didn't even plant the radishes. I just scattered the seeds in a small area and that's it. Didn't even water them either. Wonder if the aged horse manure that I tilled into my garden last year has anything to do with my radish on steriods.

The radish is amazing and the photo is amazing. That's a biggie! Have never seen one that big. I don't have a garden since I just don't "get" the garden scene. Tried tomatoes once and that bombed. Guess we don't have the right amount of sun in the area where I planted and the squirrels loved to chew on the tomatoes. It was a one time shot and I gave it up.

Radishes, carrots, and beets are easy to grow, even in part shade. I have my carrots in big flower pots. The radishes I just scattered in a small area of my garden just to see if they would grow. They grew alright. lol I have tons of them.

It sure is, Howard. If I had a golf ball, I would of posed it next to the radish for comparision but the ruler had to do. If this radish is any indication, I have a feeling my beets are going to be whoopers as well as my potatoes. lol

So far, this is the only one I saw that was this big. Some of the radishes have bolted and don't know why. Hubby wanted to bite into it right away and I told him AFTER I take a pic of it for my discussion I wanted to start here. lol

So far, it's the year for everything in my garden for me. lol All my plants are doing better than I expected at this time. Corn is over knee-high BEFORE the 4th of July.

I know! lol I had a normal-sized radish that I was going to pose next to it for comparision but one of the cats decided to play with it and have yet to find it. Thank goodness they didn't choose this one. lol
