Will you pay "TIPS" to the Waiter..?

Basically it's a 1-5 rating on what does the waiter do. Does he/she do a good job or bad job or somewhere in between? For me that's like,

I'll give you 0$ if you do a terrible neglecting job and you are selfish and stuff.
I'll give you 1$ if you did a terrible job, but 1 for effort.
I'll give you 2$ if you were doing alright, still bad though.
I'll give you 3$ if you're a bit average.
I'll give you 4$ if you are doing very good, but you messed up about once or twice
And
I'll give you 5$ if you did a very excellent job and made no mistakes.^_^

that's how I go on tipping.

We usually give tips to the waiter. It depends on their service that how much amount we pay as tips. If they serve the food on right time, the way they deal with the customer and the quality of food etc will determine the tip. If the waiters seems to be arrogant (rarely) and make us to wait unnecessarily then we will not give any thing as tip. We just give the bill amout and leave the hotel or restaurant. But as I said this will happen very rarely.

Off course my family always pays tips when we go out to eat its the right thing to do I mean its just a few dollars unless if you dont have any money theres no excuse to give a tip unless if the waiter is bad and you dont like him but other then that there really is no excuse not to give a good tip which I dont know the percentage you give to the person.

In Finland tipping is not common and I normally don't tip. Abroad things are a bit different. I like to tip when I get good service. Often at restaurants I might send compliments to the chef and thank the person serving me if he deserves it.
I especially like to leave a small tip to barworkers, because I've been one. Nights can be stressful, customers downright annoying and at those times it greatly helped endure the shift when someone gave a little change. And because of that I like to return the favour.
I usually just leave the change. Sometimes I might add an extra bill or two to make it worth something.

Hi there chennai, I always pay them tips! So far, I haven't encounter anyone who didn't satisfy me as far as services in concern!

I always pay a tip to the wat staff who have served myself and my partner. If the meal was bad, or we were left waiting a long time or something, then I won't pay one.

I feel if the staff expect a tip, then they should make sure that the customers are comfortable and that they have everything they need. If a place is busy, we don't mind waiting a little longer than normal, but we do expect at least our drinks to be brought in a timely manner.

When I was a young man no one ever paid tips in Trinidad. That was considered a foreign habit and it didn't apply over here.
Then it started coming in and lots of people never paid unless maybe you were on a spree and just wanted to blow money.
So in came the service charge and then VAT.
Nowadays they sometimes leave a container at the bar for tips or ask for one or if the waiter is friendly towards you he can suggest it.
The way prices are in Trinidad now I hardly ever tip.
Rich people do but not me.

I dont think there has ever been a time I have not lef a tip when I went out to eat . I like to atleast leave 5 bucks when it is a 20 dollar order, sometimes more if the serves was really good .
If the bill is higher I will of course leave more and if th service is ral bad I will leave one dollar . I once was waited on by someone I went to school with, this is many years later . well this girl never liked me . Anyway, she didnt even say hi and just took are orders . She never even brought out our starter and our meals still had onions and mayo on the burges we orderd . She also was very rude many times when we asked for napkins . We had to inform the manger and we got our meal for free . It was just uncalled for what she did .

When we go to a motel we will leave a tip after we have stayed and our checking out . I like to leave about a 20 for a 3 day stay if the service is good. There has been times we stayed over somewhere one night and th room was messy when we got there and smelled of smoke and we left nothing .

It just depends on the service . I know many oldr people who will only leave change and not tip .

Almost always. Servers, here, get paid less than minimum wage and rely on tips for their money. Unless someone has been absolutely awful, I usually tip well.
