Does the 5 dollar footlong make you wanna eat more at subway?

I love that commercial...but that is a great deal for there.

Welcome to mylot! Yes I notice the "Subway" near me has been doing more business since they started charging $5.00 for the foot long. I too have been in there more than before. If I had a Blimpie close to me and they had the same prices I would go to Blimpie, it has always been a favorite of mine.

Where I come from the foot longs were five dollars to begin with so it is not a deal for us. So we don't go any more then we used too. the only thing it has done is make my kids ask for it more.

I agree Subway subs are very fulfilling and they are also very healthy for you,unlike other fast food places,me and my fiance have started going to Subway more often since they started the five dollar deal,and I wish they would make it permanent,because then they would get more business,and other fast food places would lose business,so maybe they would make their food healthier.

I have found that a foot long sub to be just way too much to try to eat. It really is enough to feed three people. It is a good way to share a meal at a very reasonable cost. A foot long sub really doesn't fit the image of being a good place to eat to lose weight. I did have a foot long at quiznos The other day with my grandson and we decided that we prefer subway's sandwiches better.

I haven't seen the commercial, but we've been eating at Subway a LOT since they started this promotion and eating at Quiznos less, even though that used to be our favorite sandwich. Now Quiznos has the $5 deal too, but we have gotten used to Subway.

However, just yesterday one Subway location refused to honor the $5 price even though they had it posted on their window and on their menu and even on a sign on the counter top specifically stating which sandwiches were included. We had to assert ourselves at the register, lol. That does not make us like Subway any less, but we sure won't be going back to that particular location.

I love the 5 dollar footlongs. The commercial is really catchy too. I have been going to subway more frequently because of it. I didn't know that Quizno's had that going on to. I never usually go there but if they have the same deal I would probably go there to compare.
