Trust me, I never watch Fox either except for now and then I'll watch Greta because her show isn't usually political. I guess they're not attacking Cindy because their hypocrisy outweighs their goody-twoshoes conservatism.

I listen to The Stephanie Miller Show on the radio. One of their taglines is "We watch FOX News so you won't have to!"
Their "Right-Wing World" segment plays audio footage from FOX and just rips it to shreds in a hysterically funny way. Last I checked, there's virtually no progressive radio in Pa. Being a born and bred Philadelphian with a brother still back there, I'm really sorry to see my native state so slow on the draw. My brother now listens to it online (www.stephaniemiller.com) and he is hooked on it. It helps avoid the migraines and nausea associated with viewing FOX News.

There hasn't been a candidate's wife since 1972 who has had the reason Michelle was referring to to be proud of their country! I know I wasn't proud of my country when it came to voter turnout and the involvement or engagement of young people in particular in our political process until this year. I think you know exactly what she meant, she's explained it repeatedly even though she didn't have to for me to know what she meant. I've really found it interesting that although the so-called "liberal media" has been hammering Michelle for this statement for months, nobody but Dan Abrams has even been giving mention to McCain's "I never really loved my country until I was deprived of her company" statement that he said a variation of at least four times. For the record, I'm no t attacking McCain for his comment either, it's just the unfairness of the media I have a problem with.

What gets me about the right is that they don't seem to have any compassion or understanding that addiction is a disease unless it happens to one of their own, then it's fine to sweep it under the rug. When it came out about Rush Limbaugh's addiction to pain killers I'd have felt some empathy for him, especially since he's said his addiction began due to a back problem and I have severe back pain myself so I can understand how desperate you can get for relief, but it was his total hatred for others in the same situation even as he was going through it that angered me. These wealthy Republicans always seem to be able to make a deal so they pay no legal consequences for their acts but if it were you or me...well, I guess you know it would be a different story!

She might be too, but I can't say I've much noticed her. I guess time will tell.

Yeh I can relate to that. ..they're very addictive and I had a terrible time getting off them after my spine surgery. But if you don't take them the pain is so intense you are not functional whatsoever. It's a nightmare. I could never fault someone for that.

I really must apologize for seeming cold about her addiction because I do understand that part, I know it's a disease and as someone who may be facing spinal surgery I know I should watch what I say. My problem with her addiction is that when something like this happens to very wealthy Republicans such as Cindy and Rush Limbaugh and they break the law to get the drugs they're addicted to they seem to come away unscathed but if it were someone like one of us, that would be a whole different story. There have been people in my area who have served prison time over this even though they had young children but what they didn't have was money and connections. That's where my problem lies with Cindy and I'm sure if it were Michelle it would be treated differently by the media. It may not have been a hidden secret but it certainly hasn't been widely reported either. Also, I give her all the credit in the world for her charity work but it has to be noted that in order to be able to do things like that you have to have the money and the means.
