Earlier I posted how my freezer had arrived, but damaged, so they took it back. Well, they brought the damaged freezer back to me.
As it turns out, because I bought this freezer on a discount, and did all sorts of paperwork on it to purchase it this way, I am not able to exchange it because the serial number on the freezer matches the paperwork.
The freezer works just fine, the only problem is a few large dents on the top of it. It still closes and seals fine.
They ordered a new freezer for me, but as I said, the serial number would not match, so I'm not able to recieve it. But what they're going to do is take the top from the new freezer and put it on mine, so mine will be good as new.
The things we go through to save a buck!
Well I really just wanted to share this story...
Do you have any stories to share?

This is good news.Evidently, the store knows the dent wasn't in the freezer when you signed to buy it. Or,did you just not notice it? I'm happy that you have it and they are going to exchange the bad top for the newer one when it comes in. The store won't lose anything by doing this. Just make sure they keep their word and do bring out the new top.

Oh they'll keep their word... my hubby works there. This is why the problem. He got it on employee discount, which is why we can't switch to another freezer.

Why can they not switch the serial numbers and give you the new one with out the dent? Sounds fishy to me!

Not sure. It's a bit complicated due to the fact that it was an employee purchase. My husband works for the company, and this was all his idea to switch the tops. I guess he has his reasons. I don't care, so long as I have a working freezer that seals, it's fine with me.
