For 50's and Above: How do you keep yourself active and productive  |

 I would like to exchange ideas with people who belongs to this age group. It would be interesting to know how you have been doing in life to keep you active and productive.
I am a young retiree but now being considered as too old to started it out again in the corporate world. True or false?
Staying domesticated is too different from my work orientation. Any suggestionssssss?

They still rely on much younger people to tend to their elderlies. I hope majority of our society would change their perception of regard on our age as people who are no longer useful and should be kept at home.Duhh! | |

I am almost at the same age as you are but i still play volleyball during our summer sportsfest here at the office. I keep my mind busy with things that i love. Like music, books, my friends and family.i am also an active member of our religious community and i just keep a positive attitude towards everything.Feel young to stay young even only at heart. | |

Since I retired from office, I tried to run a business, unfortunately I have to close the business for so many reasons except losing revenues. In the business I opened up, I was grateful to have the opportunity to intermingled with young people through them I learned their music and very much like their sounds.

and do crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. but I am a bit
older than you by far. but I did work up til I was eighty.
I go for walks, and go shopping and pretty much what younger

Are you a crafty person you could sell at markets,you meet many interesting people and make a little pocket money,maybe even teach from home. Do you swim,join a gym,my mother is eighty-six and goes swimming with the great grand-kiddies everyone has a great time.She also goes on travel tours and has made a lot of friends.There is so much to do,see and learn you would need more then this life-time in which to do it all. | |
