Do you think we create our own destiny in life or is it planned for us through.?

i dont believe in religion or fate so i believe that we make our own life what it is, there are unplanned or unavoided disasters but it is how you deal with them that makes your life what it is, i dont believe in luck as you make your own look as far as i am concerned

I think its both with a twist. We are given our life's path but it is intertwined with choices that we choose this kind of life then we would end up like this but if we choose differently then our destiny will also follow. I believe it is planned but with many choices set out for you you still choose what destiny you want to go through. It is exercise of your own freewill. But I definitely know that it was all planned out for us its just a broad plan that has many angles and paths to choose from.

I think both ourselves and the life are decide our destiny.This is not eclecticism.Understand these two aspects could be beneficial for us.On the one hand,keep the faith that destiny is hold in our own hands,this will help us to enhance the confidence to overcome difficulties.In another hand,believe that there are still some things decide our fate.This could provide the best excuse for our failing and this has enabled us to maintain a calm attitude.I think this explaination should be a perfect one.

I think it's a mixture....you make part of your own destiny but the decisions you make but then again there is fate....which puts you in the right place at the right time. If opportunity knocks....the decision you make will set your course.

Hello dear sdmoonchild. I think that we create our fate or destiny in life because whatever we do, it is out of our own will in most cases. So long as we are determined to fulfill our mission, there is nothing that can hold us back.

Hi sdmoonchild! I believe we are at the driver's seat of our life so that means we create our own destiny. Take for example those poor people whose poverty roots way back from their parents' grandparents. If these people won't do anything about their situation because they believe that poverty is what God has planned for them then being poor is what they're going to be all their lives. But if they act and take charge of the situation, they can steer away from poverty and have a comfortable life. Simply put: Our life is what we make of it.

During a momentous battle, a Japanese general decided to attack even though his army was greatly outnumbered. He was confident they would win, but his men were filled with doubt. On the way to the battle, they stopped at a religious shrine. After praying with the men, the general took out a coin and said, "I shall now toss this coin. If it is heads, we shall win. If tails, we shall lose. Destiny will now reveal itself."

He threw the coin into the air and all watched intently as it landed. It was heads. The soldiers were so overjoyed and filled with confidence that they vigorously attacked the enemy and were victorious. After the battle, a lieutenant remarked to the general, "No one can change destiny."

"Quite right," the general replied as he showed the lieutenant the coin, which had heads on both sides.
