 I am reading The Count of Monte Cristo right now. I wasn't sure whether I would like it or not, but it is actually really good. I haven't read any classics in awhile, so when I saw this, I decided to buy it. I got it at a used book store, so if I never finished it, it wouldn't matter. But, I really like it! What are you reading? Have you ever read The Count of Monte Cristo?

Oh my gosh, the Count of Monte Cristo is my all time favorite. I never miss a chance to see it on tv...there are a few versions but all with the same outcome and ending it is a delicious book...Enjoy!
The punishment the Edmond Dantes received was not deserved but I can think of a few criminals that deserve just what Edmond got!! And it would probably do a world of good instead of how they currently "punish" criminals.

Can't remember the author's name here at work, have it at home...it is the most beautiful story of poverty to riches!! I actually have the book but it is in really bad need of repair and I have no clue as to where to take it to get it rebound...

i think the authors name is John Hersey. its one of the best i've read and i've read a LOT of books. its almost like what people worry will happen today.

She's one of my favorite authors and I try to savor every minute I can get because it might be awhile before another comes out.

It's a bit of a disappointment actually because I've read almost everything written by this guy but for some reason, no matter how good a writer is, they never seem to get the hang of short stories. Think I'll move on to Doris Lessing's Golden Notebook after I've struggled through this one

My upstairs book is the best book though and that is "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Philipa Gregory and this book is fantastic and a thouroughly excellent read.
