what do you think of this new toy?

I think this is one of the hottest new toys in the market today. especially in Singapore, which is one of the most gadget frenzied markets in the world, almost every other person i meet has a Wii. I read this review in the newspapers this morning and it really enticed me to get one. Apparently it can increase fitness by a lot, and it also measures your fitness age. And apparently you can 'work out' with the Wii doing push-ups on the board together with a game and in a few weeks your fitness age can be reduced by 10 years! Another friend was telling me about this bunny game where you mimic actions around the office and it's hilarious. Another game makes you a penguin and you have to quickly pick up fish. i think it's a great group game and helps us all to laugh at each other. Have you played this game before and are you going to get yourself one if you don't already own it?

The yahoo happy smilie - Love this smilie a lot!
I have also seen and read a lot about this niffty new device. Yet to get a chance to try it though. Every time I go to an exhibition or a demo, I never got the chance to try it out as the booth is always crowded with so many people! It would be nice to see how it plays before I consider getting one. Also, with the console just released, the number of games one can really get to play with them are still growing. It would be really great if they include more RPG games! Can you imagine, trying to act out like HULK, smashing everything you can in the game? It would really be interesting to see what kind of antics and actions they will go into just to play RPG games on the Wii.

I would not exactly say it is JUST a girls thing. Some of the games they have are quite fun looking too. Like the one on surfing, skiing and even one on boxing. But the graphical interface is so kiddy looking. Reminds me of the games I used to play with when 3D graphical games were first introduced into the market. And hardcore gamers being who they are, well, it will take heck of a while before they will be willing to accept the existing games to include them in their daily gaming diet. Once nintendo is able to come up with more interesting RPG games, it would definitely be able to capture a bigger and wider audience.

I have played it and loved it and I can see how it helps to be more physically fit! I golfed.....bowled...played tennis and boxed. There are several nursing facilities that now own WII's and they use them for rehab! Everyone loves to join in! I probably won't buy one because I live by myself but I sure enjoyed it!

yes it's the best selling gadget in it's own class. i went to a friend's place and got hooked. i even bought a tv for my bedroom just so that i can play wii. however, once i laid my hands on the tv and the wii, my interest waned. yes the bunny game was the one i played at my friend's place. think it's called the Rayman Raving Rabbids. i think i'm gonna buy this game. ;p

It is a great console especially if u are the more casual gamer type. it is alot more fun if you have friends or family to play with to compete against. The Wii sports is a pretty good workout, my favourite sport being boxing :).
