Pink Perfection

This is one of the few Pink Lilies I have that are now opening in my Lily bed. I have no idea the variety of this. The petals on this lay open almost totally staright out making it appear 2 dimensional as it is very flat looking. I love this color as it is very peaceful appearing each morning. What are the major color(s) of flowers you have growing? If you have none what is your favorite color and what type of flower? Mine is my bright yellow Lilies which have yet to open. Lilies are and always will be my favorite flower to see and to grow.

The lily is gorgeous. We don't have much flowering at the moment, as we're just getting into winter her in Australia - but in the summer we have gorgeous white gardenias, roses (my favourites are Mr Lincoln) and lots of jasmine and orange jessamine. Also plenty of lavender. Can hardly wait for them all to come out again!

Yeah the opposite side of the world. I don't have gardenias but they would grow here as well. I tried Roses once but I killed those and it was my first type of flower to grow. I planed it in lousy soil that was choked with roots from an old tree is why. Sounds nice down there in your place.

Would you consider emailing me a couple of your favorite pictures...like this one...and maybe two more...I have something special in mind to do with them just for you....I wouldn't do anything else with them but would like to do something for when we get to meet....by the way. I'll be coming up to the cities on July 26th..if there is an opportunity for us to meet up..

Wow, that is a beautiful flower! But can you tell me, is it deer resistant? We plant many flowers and then we seem to end up looking like Morticia Adams - watering the stems because the deer eat the flowers.
We just seem to be ending up with Boxwoods and Andromedas or marigolds. But the Japanese Maple is also surviving.
The garden plants are fenced in ...so far we have only lost the tops of some tomato plants.

I have no idea as deer seldom get into my yard due to the high volume of traffic. Rabbits love them it seems though. Luckily since planting marigolds around the bed the rabbits have not been seen.

What an absolutely gorgeous colour AGB so perfectly pink and gentle! You already know I love any lilies and it doesn't really matter to me what colour they are - they are all beautiful! I think the favourites in my garden are my deep pink fuschias or my purpley blue clematis! xxx

The day I took the above photo there were just a couple opened. here's a shot of them taken Monday night. Lot's more now as well. I love the contrast of them in the bed in between the orange Tiger Lilies. Thanks bunches also.

Oooh, when you said pink I was initially thinking it would be a Stargazer lily which are my very favorite. But this lily you have is exceptional. The liles definitely like being in your garden.
My favorite garden flowers were always anything yellow regardless of what type, looking forward to seeing the yellows soon.

I like the pink, purple, yellow. orange ... well I just like many colorful flowers. Now on the part about what my favorite flower is that is a hard one for me since I don't really know much about types of plants and flowers. I just look at their beauty. Even some weeks have beautiful flowers on them.

Oky. I like all flowers but Lilies are my fave to this day. Who knows, someday I may plant a new type of flower and get hooked on that variety as well. Thanks also.

Lilies are my favorite also and have them in my yard. I do have this pink one, but its missing the tag. Its going to be hard to believe, but there are zero yellow lilies in the ground. My ponds have lilies as you know and nothing is blooming right now. We are having June Gloom in July.

I too love lilies. They are so fresh and pretty. My favorite color is Yellow! Reminds me of the summer and warm weather.
Most of my flowers right now are pinks and purples. I have all kinds of flowers out- they are gorgeous. This is my favorite time of year—all the hard work we did in the flower beds (the endless hours of planting) – the work shows- gorgeous!

What a beautiful pink lily, Grandpa Bob! The main colors of our flowers are pinks and purples. A few whites too. I would love some bright orange flowers for summer. Hubby does most of our planting.
