Usually your .xxx represents what you are.
. org, is usually taken by businesses, .edu, are schools, .info, is for informational websites. and so on and so on.
Eventually in 2009, you will be able to have a . anything, for instance .raydene.
Hope this helps

Actually, .org is meant for non-profit sites or non-Governmental organisations. It's not meant for businesses, because that's what the .com is for, but .org means organisations, normally charitable ones.
If the site's for profit it should not be using .org
You're right about the .info one though.

I must admit that dot.com rolls off the lips very easily, so that would be my personal choice. I think it's the most popular one anyway.

Then again Mom there is co.uk that is what we tend to use in the UK! I don't know which I would choose as I think all 3 are quite easily remembered! I think there should be a .smile or .happy - but then again I do live in a world all of my own sometimes! Hugs xxx

.com is by far the easiest ones to remember, but I am also interested in domain names that denote location such as .dk, .ca, .usa, etc. It's interesing to look at a country code after he dot, and try and figure out where in the world the people are.

.COM is the most widespread if you're selling something. .ORG is meant for organizations like churches.
