Have you ever stepped on your cat in the dark?

I stepped on my cats paw once, i was getting his dinner and he was getting so excited he kept getting under my feet and the next thing i hear is this big squeal....lucky i have good reflexes and i jumped back straight away....poor baby...

no but my nan did, she didnt hurt the cat but felt realy guilty about it after wards

I have done lots of things to the cats that we have had over the years. I have stepped on them, tripped over them and even sat on one once! Cats are just crazy animals! We have a couple of cats now. We had too get rid of one because it was too sick and one ran away. There is only one cat left and when she passes it will be the end of cats for us for awhile. Just too much work.

Ha ha, no I have never stepped on any of my cats in the dark but I sat on one of mine before now LOL.

I do not have cats anymore, but when I did I had them all from kittens, and one of my kittens was a tabby. He used to blend in with my sofa and he would always sit on my chair, well when we first had him I was not used to anything being on my chair and one day I just came in and sat on my chair forgetting to check! I could hear this squeaking and I shot up quickly and I had sat on his head LOL he was purrfectly fine just his pride was a bit dented, but I absolutely cried laughing it was just so funny.

I know this story very well. My male cat is always on the floor next to my bed. I have to feel around with my foot before I get up in the dark. Tripped over them many times. My cat walks so close to me when I'm walking into another room or across the room, sometimes he gets in front of me and trips me. He also likes to lay in door ways and I have to pick up my feet over him and sometimes he picks up his paw to swat me almost makimg me fall.

Oh, yeah. My cat is very laid back (okay, lazy) and will often plop himself down in the middle of the room and expect us to walk around/over him. Usually, it's not a problem for us to walk around him, but sometimes he will come in and "plop" without me noticing and then I turn around and get a foot-full of cat. Luckily, neither of us has gotten injured in these incidents. I often joke that he and the dog would make a very good guard team. A burgler would be so worried about the loudly barking dog that he would probably fall right over the cat and break a leg. Yep, always ready for action.

I have four cats, and the most sensitive one is the one who always wants to lay right where I will be walking. It is as if he knows. He has also gotten his paw clipped by the car door. He just wants to be right where I am at all times. He will lay down on the floor right behind my feet, so it is almost destiny that I will step on his fluffy tail.

Morning, beauty queen. It is lucky of the cat not to have been stepped, otherwise it must have been very hurt and cried for pain. I am happy for this, but I guess that this cat will be careful not to sleep in your bedroom, but somewhere else. Good day.

My cats have a habit of lying stretched out right in the middle of corridors, usually I see them and step over them but sometimes if they don't move I do step on them. The make a terrible noise when I do and I always feel terrible, it'll make them learn not get in peoples way though I suppose.
