Who among the christian missionaries you truly admire and has been an inspiration to your life ? I greatly admire Hudson Taylor, the pioneer missionary to mainland China. Because of his courage and faith the Gospel of JesusChrist was preached to Chinese homes and won many Chinese to Christ.

I am not quite a reader of biography, but knowing what all Willaim Carey has contributed to the rise of Modern Mission it is quite difficult not to admire him. Yes, there are areas where he did not quite get it in the best way, but his contribution otherwise is huge.

I can't help but admire all the missionaries that go to a different country. For their love of the Lord they give up the comforts and familiar surrounding and go to another country where they have to sometimes adjust to a totally different culture. In some case they put their lives on the line for God such as Jim Elliot and Nate Saint, to bring the knowledge of Gods love for Waodani in 1956. I know that there has to be more missionaries that have given their lives in many other countries as well.
