maybe its because i normally read non fiction (i really only read it because of the civil war being woven through the book.) have you read the book? whats the longest book you have read?

I read it years ago for a lit class in college. I liked it ok but I have other fiction authors I like as well. I love fiction but only if it has some truth to learn also. Must be well research and historical is a plus.. not necessarily war stuff just old stuff about customs etc. of course there was so much war that we find little history without it. xoxoxoxoxo

Just trying to think of the longest SINGLE book I've read.. !Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" is a Trilogy, The Late Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" Series apparently started out to be a Trilogy, and stands currently at 11 volumes,#12 is to be released posthumously..I haven't read GWTW..I made it through "War and Peace" :)

It's been years since I read Gone With the Wind, but I do recall it being kind of slow in places. Not sure what the longest book I've read was. Most of the books I read are around 200-300 pages. And, then the occasional 500 page book.

I did, too. I read it about four or five years ago, and didn't really like it. I'm not sure what the longest book I've read was but I have read books that were 1,000 or more pages like Gone With The Wind.
