Have you ever pet a wild animal?

I've pet a bat that was at a sanctuary in Australia. Bats are wild, but this one could be released due to an injury. I've also pet wild possums. They would come up to the open kitchen for hand outs. We were told not to feed or pet them, but I did anyways. They were to cute to resist. I've also pet and held hedgehogs and wild birds when I needed to rescue or remove them from someplace. Hedgehogs are so cute. They are really docile creatures who just want to be left alone to forage for food. But sometimes they are in a dangerous place and need to be caught and moved to safety. I was lucky to see one today waddling across an open field.

Once when I was maybe 12 and my sister was about 7 we went to a zoo type thing - not really a zoo, it was referred to as a 'ranch', I guess it was more of a wildlife sanctuary. We must have had perfect timing because we were the only guests there at the time so they let us play with the baby tigers. There was three of them and they were maybe 3 months old, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my childhood. It was just like playing with huge kittens. We even have it on video. Once in a lifetime thing.

I have never pet a wild animal. I have only ever pet those animals at the petting zoo. I don't know if I would want to pet a wild animal or not. I would probably be too much of a wimp to do it. I would probably chicken out at the last minute if ever given the chance.

I can't say that I have, but a great-uncle of mine used to have a "pet" fox. (I put the word "pet" in quotation marks because you can never really tame a wild animal). It refused to go inside, but accepted food and even allowed one to pet it if it was in a good mood. I don't know what happened to her, though.

I like all types of wild animals and some pet animals are very cute like elephants,cats,dogs etc.I went to zoos once in a year with my friends and i have seen different wild animals like Tiger,Lion,Leopard etc.My most favourite animal is Elephant and Tiger.
