So what was the point of that?

Sorry if somebody else started anything like this, I've been in and out today so I don't know a lot of what has gone on.....But, what was the point of 'mylot' starting a discussion about the new look if 'they' weren't going to respond at all? As usual it feels like we're just talking to a brick wall.
I'm not asking for them to personally answer my post with a "gee, we're sorry, we'll fix that right away." It would just be nice to be acknowledged....maybe not each and every post but enough to let us know that they really are reading what we had to say.
Anyone else feel like this?

I dunno how many people are on here. I think it was more of an announcement than a post. I mean if you were to respond to everyone that had a say in the redesign that would be a lot of posts and I don't think that is even warranted.
I think weighing in allows them to read what people think and it also allows others to see what others are thinking.
Thanks
Zelo

Give it a little time. If it were ME I would ANNOUNCE there was a change and WHY the change was made... kinda of how myLot did it but in a Message not in a post. Then I would wait at least a week and get the data from how people took it and then gone from there.
Remember they are not like us posting hundreds of responses/posts a day... they are just trying to make a decent site so we can do that.
I WILL be expecting a thank you from them in the coming time though most definately!
Thanks
Zelo

I agree that they probably couldn't respond to all of the people who posted on their discussion but they could have at least acknowleged a few of the posts on both sides of the issue.

foxyfire33 yes they mkae me feel like a kid, no answer at all, and you hoped they would at least acknowledge that you sent them an email. I have done that before and maybe a month later did get a reply for all the good it did.

I haven't heard of many getting replies to messages to them...and usually what hey say is pointless anyway.

Hey, is that true. The new settings they had really made me feel a new member here in mylot. How i wish this is user friendly as before. And also they will answer our inquiry regarding this new about mylot.

I don't think they will answer us. They usually don't. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the new layout isn't user friendly.

I don't know! But I like the idea
of having a real staff member respond
to Mylot member complaints.
They have someone on other sites
to address public concerns, so why not
MyLot? Good question.
Maybe we will ask them.
They may not answer, but perhaps, just
asking the question will prompt a change!
Thanks for the interesting topic.
Had not considered that "mylot" was
an actual member in our midst.
Think it's just an auto reply type
situation. The system posts to the mass
population. It's not being posted by a real
human being. I mean, sure, the post was
originally written by a person, but I don't
think anyone is monitoring it.

I got an alert about the changes but I didn't see a discussion. I must have missed it. I don't think I have ever commented on one of the discussions started by the site or Crash. I usually read through what the others have said in the comments and anything that I thought needed fixing is usually already there by the time I get here.

Yeah, it was started by user 'mylot' but last I checked, 'mylot' hadn't responded to anything that had been said there.
