What is with these timers?

Ok I just submitted a new discusion and like 3 seconds after submitting it it said it was start 6 minutes ago. Now either I am losing time or mylot is in a time warp continium or something. That is just weird. Do you ever notice these things or am I just too bored today?

I had the exact same thing happen. I hit submit and it was listed as started 6 minutes ago. I don't get it either. When I did it I thought maybe they are now basing it on the time we navigate to the page to start typing the discussion but the "6 minutes" part for two of us seems like more than a coincidence.

It happened three times on discussions I started... I find it funny cause I wasn't even thinking of starting the discussions six minutes before I posted them.....hhhhhmmmm maybe mylot has developed a mind reader....eeeeeeekkkkkkkk.

Hahahaha You've dared to queston and attempt to solve one of the great mysteries of MyLot!!!! I have often wondered about this, myself. Maybe it's like Narnia were the kids were here for ages, but when they came out of the wardrobe it was the same time and date as when they went in, though years had passed.
Also, someimes I see 0 seconds ago and wonder how that could be possible. SOME time had to have pased, if only a second or two.

I think it goes by the time that you hit the 'new discussion' link, not when you're actually done with the discussion and it is posted.
I've noticed sometimes when I am posting one that is fairly long and then post a picture with it too, several minutes has gone by.

Maybe I will hit a stopwatch next time I hit the new discussion button and time myself and compare it to what mylot says......or maybe that is just too much trouble.

I think have seen that also. It is based on when you start encoding the discussion or comment.

They're currently in the process of screwing up MyLot again with another "upgrade" (check your alerts). A lot of weird things are happening.

lol your not alone, it just doesnt happen here on mylot it happens on myspace when i write my friends and im looking at it like this is retarted lol, but no its not just cuz ur bored lol.

hi, and i agree i have noticed this lol, i have only been on in mylot for 4 days starting today and its saying ive been here a week lol..
so im just going along with it..and i will keep an eye on the timer thing and see what happens but i guess thats the same as the days ...
