Would You Share Your Personal Photograph...With Online Friends...?

hi friends my husband says it is not safe and good to give your personal pictures on the net..to someone you dont know personally...however i did share some family picture with some friends whom i consider close and i am glad bcoz i even got their pictures now i dont have to imagine how is this person gonna be actually...i feel that now i know them better and even the trist level goes up... do you trust your online friends? would you exchange photographs? what do you think about this? i trust my friends after i have exchanged some mails wih thm..so i can decide wether to trust or not..can you make out or judge what a person is like by reading their views and messages?

Hi dear nice topic my simple answer will be "YES" but sure not at first time, it need to develop comfort level, once its achieved and are friends, then i dont mind, i treat my online friends as real one, so its Ok for me Take care

yeah i do share my pictures with online people i dont ssee how its really bad like i dont give out personal information though.like my full name becasue some one can find you based on a name but not really a picture.(Unless they just happen to see you in the store and rember your face lol)

my husband says with all those things like morphing and all it can be dangerous nad the photos can be modified..maybe so he is apprehensive..thank you for sharing your views..have a nice day

After some correspondence and when there is trust I do share my photographs. Though I think I have done this just once till now.

same here dear..i am very picky when it comes to tusting and nothing without my husbands approval..i dont want any sort of friction between the two of us for any reason..have a nice day dear

I think your husband is right. I do not share my photo or much personal information with people online, no matter how much I like them. It's just too dangerous nowadays. I have known people online for ten years, met them and their families and just now would feel secure in sharing photos and information. I have many old internet friends who don't even know my real name, nor I theirs. But I still value their friendship, as they do mine.

I have my picture on my profile. I have been sharing my picture online for the last 11 years and haven't had a problem yet. There is a risk for everything you do and I personally do not want to live in a bubble of fear. Definately a choice everyone has to make for themself.
