In the following article the author provides a real good case for the notion that Obama is losing momentum as the days go by! If he is losing momentum this early and the convention still weeks away, could the democrats and their "stupid delegates" rethink their decision to back the inexperienced senator from Illinois? Here is the article:

At this same time Jimmy Carter had a 23 point lead over Gerald Ford in 76. Of course by the time November came around Ford lost by a half of a point. With all of the emotions going towards Obama he will have a hard time winning if he only has right now a 3 point lead. Logic will eventual take the place of emotions, and logic will side with McCain. McCain could have one of those blow out victories, winning by 40 states and with 10+ point victory.

Gewcew,
How true! If I have my history right, the American people were just as put out with Nixon and the republican party as they are today with the Bush administration and the GOP but there is one thing different today which may work in McCain's favor; the domocrats control congress and this is a congress which has dipped into the lowest approval rating for a congress, EVER--9%!

The only poll I actually pay attention to is the one that happens in November. Anyone who knows how polling actually work knows that with the right questions, and asking the right people you an make any poll say anything you want.
I don't think that Senator Obama was the best choice for the Dems, but it was the lesser of two evils. I think the Dem delegates and big-wigs are going to back him with everything they have, as he truly is their best hope. Can he do it? I say no.

Smith,
Thanks for the comment. I believe there is going to some real fireworks in denver come August! I believe Hillary has retained her delegates for that reason and I wouldn't count her out just yet. This is one of the most convoluted primary seasons I've seen since I have been old enough to vote and that's been many many moons!

This just shows that it's a long way to the election still. Current polls are meaningless come November. Obama could lead in the polls for the next two months and it wouldn't matter if that lead didn't make it to November. I have faith that once he actually has to get in a real debate with McCain people will see how flaky he really is. I'd love to see him try a town hall meeting like McCain has been doing regularly.
