I have visited many places within the US but of all home is the best for me... NYC is the best place on earth inmy eyes, and maybe thats just because I am from here but there is always something going on, no matter what time of day it is and there are just so many different types of people that it is hard to get bored.

My favourite place in he USA was Sedona Arizona. My husband is currently working and liing down there. I am a Canadian, still in Caada. He wants to come up to Canada to live, but for now he's working in Arizona. I travel back and forth a few times a year, staying a few months in each place.

Never been to Arizona, but I hear it is beautiful. Some people go there just to retire because they love it so much.

Of all the places that my family and I have visited my favorite was Honolulu, Hawaii. I had seen pictures of Hawaii, of course, but they just didn't do it justice. We went to Wakiki Beach and the place we stayed in was just a five minute walk to the beach. It was so beautiful. The only thing I didn't like about it was there were no public restrooms and when you have kids that can be a problem. There were restaurants and stores all along the beach but they didn't have a public restroom.

We took a Circle of Island tour while we were there that took us all around the island and we abolutely loved it. It was worth all the money we spent and more. Part of the tour included the Pearl Harbor Memorial which was extremely touching. If a person goes to that and isn't touched by it something is terribly wrong.

We also got to see the Pineapple Plantation where they make Dole pineapple and we got to taste pineapple ice cream LOL.

I went on that tour. It was great. We went to Pearl Harbor seperately though. I want to go back and go to Maui and the big island. Waiikki was cool though, it reminded me of Beverly Hills.

Sheila, how can a restaurant not have a toilet? Do you mean that if I eat in a restaurant they will not have a toilet for me to use? Hawaii is high on our list for one of our vacations and we are so excited about it. What hotel did you stay at and did you like it?

I just asked my husband and my daughter and neither one of us can remember the name of the place we stayed, but it was very nice. It was a condominium. One thing I do remember about it was that when we went out on the balcony we could look to our left and see the extinct volcano Diamond Head. It was fairly close to the condominium also, just a few miles. I took pictures while we were there and maybe one of them will give the name of it. I'll see if I can find them over the next day or so for you.

But that is true, none of the restaurants had public toilets. I told my husband that they should have at least had portable toilets stationed at different spots along the beach. If they were worried about the looks of them they could have painted them to look like palm trees, etc. But that was the only disappointment that we had. I would love to go back again some time if we are ever able to.:)

I have lived and worked in almost every one of the contiguous lower 48. Where I am today, Sedona, Arizona, is the one I love the most. Check out our live webcam and you'll see why. http://www.sedonavision.com/camera .

The camera is mounted on a tower on top of airport mesa and views the entire valley.

You said it best, Vlad.

I love the view, but I really love Sedona because YOU'RE THERE!!!

I was fortunate enough to get to New Orleans in the pre-Katrina days. We went to visit my father-in-law and my husband's step-mother. We got to go trhough the French Quarter with a friend of my husband's (he lived there for a couple of years). It is a beautiful city: wonderful food; street performers everywhere; and just a "feel" I've never experienced anywhere else.

I have always wanted to go to the French Quarter. A cousin of mine went there for the Mardi Gras. I have seen pictures that make that place look like you could never find it anywhere else.

Without a doubt, Las Vegas i have liked best. One cuz its nothing but excitement, and people everywereh. You cant walk into or out of any building in Vegas and not see a group of people right in front of you. The lights, the music, the entertainment and dont forget the gambling..my fave hobby. Plus each time ive gone (4 or 5 times total) It has been just me and hubby, and that alone makes it awesome..and its the only place we have gotten away to where the little one isnt with.

myLot reputation of 84/100. Yestheypayme2dothis (2082)   ranked 36 out of 3,388 in travel  3 months ago

I would love to go to Las Vegas!!! I have had people tell me it is just to exciting. But I have also had someone tell my negative things. I think I would love it!

I've been to Vegas one time, I loved it. It is a place I would like to go to again. the buffets are awesome, and of course like you said the gambling is a favorite.

There are alot of great places to visit in the US. I love St. Augustine Florida. It is a beautiful city. Key West is also great. Yellowstone was beautiful, wild and wonderful. I loved the Muir woods outside of San Francisco. I think I would have to say that was my favorite place, becasue I had never been anywhere like it.
I loved those beautiful giant redwoods. Hawaii, New Orleans and Las Vegas are alos great, as is the Grand Canyon.

And your number one pick would be? Which hotel would you stay in or did you stay in?

Utah, I don't know the names of the city but it's closer to the boarder of Colorado. I like it because of the drives I took through the canyons. I also liked Hawaii because of the south pacific breeze! I got so much sun just walking around and the heat does not effect you because you feel a nice breeze constantly.

We spent 9 days in Hawaii and that was my all time favorite. We also spent a long weekend in Atlanta, GA and I enjoyed the big city life of downtown Atlanta. There's a lot to see and do right within walking distance! I've been to Florida a few times, and that's always fun...especially this past New Year's Eve when my parents rented a house and my husband and I were invited to stay with them and my siblings. It was a huge 6 bedroom, 4 bath with our own pool. Makes vacation much nicer than living in a hotel for a week!

My parents rented a cabin at a resort in Minnesota, and I loved it there. There was a lodge with huge fireplace and comfortable rustic furniture, and there was always something to do. Every morning, my brothers would get out in a row boat and go fishing, and would always bring back a nice catch, though they always complained and said the fish weren't biting that great. We were warned that there were bears around, and to be wary of them. My younger brother was afraid of the bears, and thought they might climb into the window at night and eat him, which I thought was pretty funny at the time. The people who owned the resort had all kinds of pets running around, and my favorites were the chipmunks, who were very friendly. They would do tricks for nuts or little pieces of fruit, and would sit up on our shoulders and get rides around the camp. The nearby town had all sorts of little shops, and there was an ice cream parlor that we frequented while we were there.

I always wanted to go back there, but never got the chance. My brothers have gone back many times for fishing. They never invited me, and I think it's because they are afraid that I could catch more fish than they can, though they claim that they just don't want to go fishing with girls.

I have never done anything quite like that before, but I have always wanted to. The one issue that has probably kept me from it is the idea of lots of bugs. You here about those cabin trips having so many of them...and big ones. One thing I would love to do is stay in an A-frame log cabin. I used to get a log cabin magazine, and those places are wonderful! I could live in one of those. Yet, I hear that one match and the whole place goes up because they are made of wood.

The last place I stayed in a cabin was in Canada, in Mattawa. We went there 2 years in a row, because we had such a good time. The first time we went, I was afraid of the possible bugs too, and I figured there would be mice and spiders in the cabin too. Though we did have to cover up and use insect repellent for the mosquitos, I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was well taken care of, and clean. The cedar cabin came equipped with everything we needed. We caught our limit of walleye every day, and we had fun checking out nearby places, and went on a train trip from Mattawa to Temiscuming which was a lot of fun. Here's a link to the place, if you want to check it out. http://www.sidturcottepark.com/index.htm
