When I'm hot, nothing else matters!

I, too, hate summer heat! I do not want to go out and prefers to stay in the air conditioned room. I do not even do household chores when I am at home. Even in the office, most aircons broke down during this season and we are eleft looking for offices with cool air.

Our family just returned from a mini vacation where we left 75 degrees and drove to 105 degrees. You can't do anything but sweat and talk about how hot it is. I worked outside and practically had to wait an hour before the sun went down just to get some relief. I drank more pop than anything because I was loosing salt and water just wasn't hydrating me.

I live in Central Illinois in the US and it can get mighty hot here. When it is in the 90's here, I try not to go outside the house and stay in the air conditioning. When I have to venture out on an errand, etc. by the time I get home I am drained. The heat just takes everythign out of me.

I'm the same when it comes to taking cold showers in summer but it's not the heat that kills me, it's the humidity...sometimes I can get bad headaches or migraines from it. I love the heat but I hate it when it's still way to hot to sleep at 10 or 11 of as night. Here in Mackay (Nth QLD), it can get up to 35C in the day & 27C of a night.

Like you I can no longer handle the heat. When I was a child I thought nothing of it and was always playing outside. As a teenager I spent several summers working the cornfields detassling corn. But, about 11 years ago while on a family vacation I did suffer heat stroke. We were hiking in a canyon and were on our way out and to our car. I didn't think I was going to make it but I did. Everyone kept telling me to stop and sit and cool down. I knew I wouldn't cool down unless I had AC so I kept going. By the time I got to the car my face was gray I was clammy, my head was throbbing and I was so very sick. Ever since then I can't handle the heat. This summer has been especially hard on me since my asthma has gotten worse. So, I've spent most of the time so far stuck inside in the AC. I get out once or twice a week to grocery shop or get some lunch, then I'm right back home. I haven't even used the pool much this year either.

Heat is no fun. i just quit a job where I was working in temperatures of over 110 degrees, 9-10 hours a day none the less. It was so hot that just swiping your time card was a daunting task in itself. We were expected to keep up with an assembly line, with 12 seconds per prodcut to do our job. It was insane in itself, but combined with the heat, it was just plain cruel.

I'm like you I can't take the heat, I have breathing problems and if I get out and get over heated then I have a problem, the breathing problems came from where I worked. I have to have a/c and when it is 92 with 100% humidity liek the other day I dont' go out unless I have to. I love working in my flower garden but do most of it after the sun goes down. I got a feeling the temperature is changing and going to get worse.

Top in my list of the things I hate is the heat. I can't function well if I feel hot and my situation is worst because I have hyperhydrosis. I can produce one liter of sweat if I don't do anything when I feel hot.

if it gets hot and stuff here, i feel quite sick from it. we dont have central air and i find that the severe heat makes me feel sick to my stomach and it really bothers my asthma too. thank fully, here in canada, the summer isnt that long...its only hot for about 3 months.

Do you turn on the Air Conditioner? I apartment stays so cool Have to keep it off, because my apartment is cold, then there are time I have to go out side to warm up.
