When I'm hot, nothing else matters!

I don't like being hot... but I don't mind it as bad as my daughter does. She gets terrible hot flashes and I see the sweat falling off her. I used to be that bad, but now that I am older I get cold and she is still hot.

I hate the heat. Always have. I grew up in the Mojave desert. I was rather portly when a kid because all I wanted to do was sit in the shade of some big tree. I can image that the mace was particularly bad because of the heat and would make you even more sensitive to heat just with that memory. Ice cubes and hot weather were made for each other. It is amazing how much cooler you feel just having an ice cube in your mouth.

The heat just makes my head HURT! It also drains all the energy out of me. I grew up in the northern part of New Mexico and the high altitude plus less heat was comfortable for me. But when we moved to Texas it was really hard for me to adjust to the heat in the summer. I still can't take the heat and I've been here most of the time for over 50 years.

Sometimes even if the air conditioner is going I have to get a wet wash cloth and put over my face and let a fan blow on it or I just feel like I can't breath. Sometimes a wet cloth around my neck helps.

I am like you and I hate the heat. I have hot flashes and between the heat and my hot flashes I go crazy some days. I used to live in Winnipeg and we had the worst summers ever, or some people's view, the best summers ever. It would get so hot and humid there that I would have to find a place that had airconditioning and go spend the day there. Usually I went to my mom's or to the mall or to work since I worked in an office that had central air, in the evenings and on weekends, when I couldn't stand another minute of the heat at home. I didn't have central air in my house because I couldn't afford it, but I did have a window air conditioner but on those really hot humid days it didn't help much. Also in Winnipeg, if it was hot during the day it was hot at night too. Now I live in Calgary were it doesn't get as hot or humid and at night time it cools down so much my house has a chance to cool off as well as me. It is almost like living in a dessert, it gets so cool at night. But I love it.

I am not bothered by the heat, as long as I know where to find a nice tall glass of ice cold water. I spent the better part of a year in Sedona Arizona, and boy oh boy did it ever get hot down there...and it was a DRY HEAT, so it was essencial that i not leave the house without a big bottle of water.

My worst enemy is heat. I can't stand to be hot and I'm a really mean person when I'm hot because I'm so uncomfortable. I can't stand to be hot. It is my belief that a person can keep putting on more and more clothes to become warm when it is cold, but there's not way to take off enough to keep cool! My house is always at 69 degrees, I've never worked a job which required me to be outside, and I always sleep with the window up in the winter.

I have slight asthma and I have anxiety attacks, so heat doesn't make it better. I love very hot showers so that I feel cool when I get out. But, if I'm in the bed with a guy and he is giving off to much heat, I will make him move as far away from me as possible or maybe even leave the room.

You're not the only one and I completely understand the way you feel.
