What was the last thing you were stung by?

The last time I was stung was also the very first time I was stung and it was by a wasp. Up until that point I was absolutely terrified of wasps, I had a fear of being stung because I had never been stung!

I was up town and one came after the perfume I had on, it was on my neck and I panicked and swatted at it, of course it stung my neck. It hurt, but you know it was not as bad as I had feared. I also found out that I was not allergic to them! I did not require any medical aid though it went within a couple of hours.

I cannot remember, it has been so long. I used to step on honeybees all the time, as my neighbor had bee hives in the yard. Each one seemed to swell up worse. I know when my grandparents bought the farm they were in, the old house there was infested with wasps, and we got lots of stings.(50 years ago) I also remember two very badly infected "bites" of some kind when I was eleven, that should have gotten medical treatment, but did not. As an adult, I only seem to get mosquitoes, flies, and no see ums. Usual treatment is to slap some hand sanitizer gel or some listerine on them. The alcohol seems to take care of the itch. Grandma always put mud on wasp stings. Meat tenderizer in water is good for any and all, because the enzyme that tenderizes the meat "digests" the protein in the stings.

I've never in my life get stung by an animals like that. Does mosquito sting? I only give vicks vaporub if I got stung by mosquitoes. I can't stand bugs so I stay away from them, maybe that's why I don't get stung by them till now, hopefully never

Um..the last time I was stung was in February of 2005, by a wasp! I was putting Courtney's carseat in my grandma's car that morning because she was keeping her while I went to the dentist. Well, i grabbed the seat belt and to my suprise, i felt such pain on top of my hand!! At first i thought I had pinched my hand somehow, but when I looked, there was a wasp on me, stinging me!!! My grandma was watching me out the front door and I just looked her and she knew by the look on my face that something had really hurt me, but she didnt know it was a wasp. I ran in the house, trying not to cry and ran my hand under cold water. I could feel the venom or whatever its called moving in my hand. My hand, wrist and part of my arm was swelling and turning red as the venom moved along. It hurt pretty bad, but I still went to the dentist. He said that the sting wouldnt affect anything that he had to do (like have a reaction with meds or anything). So, later that evening, I had a hurting hand and a hurting mouth! I am just soooo thankful that it was me that got stung and not Courtney! She easily could have been the one.

Well, I was stung by a wasp many years ago and I found
out that I am highly allergic. I have to carry an
epipen in case it happens again. I made it to the
doctor but not before I had a life threatening reaction.
I got stung by a yellowjack while I was standing at the
busstop. I was wearing a floral shirt (which attracts them)
and it went under the shirt and stung me under my arm.
It felt like a pinch! I'm thankfull that I'm not as
allergic to the them as I am bees, and wasps. Didn't
have the epipen the and thankfully I was fine, just sore.

I see you are not talking about being stung by the words some spew here at Mylot so I will have to go with the when I was about 4 in Pittsburgh..it was a honeybee..and he was not sweet.

I got stung by a bee last week while pulling weeds. I didn't notice it until later when the tip of my finger hurt every time I touched something with it. I finally inspected it, and found a small black dot where the stinger was. It was embedded just deep enough to see it, but too deep to get with tweezers. After a few days my finder was a little swollen where the stinger was, and really sore. I squeezed, and the stinger came out so fast, I didn't actually see it happen, it was just there, poking out, where I was able to easily remove it. It was a relief to get that stinger out. It was so small, but caused me some pain.

Last tine I was stung was by a wasp in my front porch. Funny part about that it was already dead. I bombed the front porch because of wasps and swept up them up. I must have missed one because I sent out to get something on the freezer and stepped on a dead one and stung the arch of my foot.

It wasn't as in tense as a live sting, but I couldn't put my shoe on for a week. That was some, several years ago.

Frequently I get stung by fire ants here. They are everywhere. I try to stay on pavement whenever possible, but when working it the yard its hard to see them. Those little suckers hurt too. They don't sting just once, but multiple times while also sending out a signal for the others to do likewise. They cause nasty blisters and can result in scaring. I have numerous scars on my feet and legs from them. Luckily I haven't found a scorpion yet. And while I have heard of killer bees killing in my area I haven't run into any. I did find 5 tarantulas last year, but killed them before being bitten. I've seen a few snakes as well, even had one slither across my foot last spring in the garden, but don't guess those count as stings. LOL

I got stung by jelly fish. It's so itchy. In fact, I think I always get stung by jelly fish even if I put some anti sting lotion when I go to the beach. I treated it with my own urine and some vinegar and the itchiness were gone. I have never been stung by scorpions or the like because I don't go to the woods much. I am scared of snakes and the like and I wouldn't know what to do if that happens.
