Did you let your children sleep in the bed with you?

My oldest kids did not because their father would not allow it. My 2yr old sleeps with me since the day she was born. She does have a toddler bed and now starts out in there but always ends up in bed with me before morning. I do not think it is hurting anything!

I never allowed my children to sleep in bed wtih me. As infants that is entirely too dangerous for my taste and once they are older they need to be in their own bed anyways. My daughter slept in her bassinet til about 4 months and then her crib til 10 months. After that she has slept in her toddler bed in her own room for a year and a half. Then she got her own twin bed when the baby sister came along and needed the mattress for her crib. Unless they are sick or have a nightmare they sleep in their own beds in their own rooms.

My kids still sleep with me sometimes, but not that often. My 8 year old crashed with me last night and at 7 am the baby crawled into bed with us too. She normally sleeps in here own bed.

both my children sleep with me they are only 2 and 3 years old at the moment and i am trying to get them to sleep in there own beds but it seems impossible at the moment so i have just given up
i cant wait for the day when they are sleeping in their own beds in their own rooms!

i never allowed either of my children to sleep in my bed purely because i wanted to establish a good routine of them going to bed on there own of a night when they were young and not have to do it when they were older.

this said though i do allow them to come into my room when they first wake up of a morning for a cuddle so that we can have some quality time before going down to get our breakfast

Hello momma.... since we don't have any kids, I'll talk about myself and my brothers. I don't know if my brothers ever slept with my parents although I would imagine they did for a time and even off and on for a time. As for me, I slept just about anywhere till I was 7 then we moved and I finally got my own room and bed. Before that, I slept with either one of my brothers or my with my parents or at the foot of their bed on a cot or with my grandparents since they lived with us or in the crib in their room. lol I had quite a variety as a kid waaaaay back then. lol

I slept with mom and dad off and on till about 4 too but I remember never getting much sleep, lol my dad snored like a lion roaring.

About the only time we allowed the kids to sleep in bed with us was if they were sick. So we could watch them more closely. Outside of that they went from the crib to their own bed. I think though about 4 would be the oldest I would think should be allowed to still sleep with Mom and Dad.

Well my kids are 15 and 17 and sometimes still snuggle in my bed LOL
WHen they were younger sometimes they would sleep with me sometimes in their own bed. THey know they had their room and sometimes preferred it, but they knew as well that they were welcome in mine if they were scared, or just lonely.
MY daughter like her bed more than mine. She wanted to sleep in it since about 2 years old, but when her brother was born she changed her mind and started coming to my bed before falling asleep. She would ask me to take her back to her bed after she was asleep, but wanted the comfort of being in my bed with me just to fall asleep. My son started sleeping on his bed more regularly at around 4 but he sometimes would still come to mine.

My son sleep with me till he is six then he sleep in his own bed and my daughter is still sleeping with me. She is afraid to sleep alone I let her tried for a few nights but she come back to my bed in the middle of the night.
