forgivness

It's not easy to forgive no doubt but one has to learn to forgive. i learnt that harboring feelings of ill-will or hatred only serves as bottleneck to one's one development in life. You get caught up every now and then with these unwanted emotions. We have to try hard and remember the saying to forgive is divine.

Forgiveness is something I work at a lot. Once I believed myself to be a forgiving person but I discovered that the forgiveness I thought I had extended was more of a peace keeping, lay to rest approach. It has taken a lot of maturity to understand what forgiveness truly means and to understand it as a process more than a simple action. While we are taught to forgive one another, I agree when you say it is not so easy and I think this would be fair to say of many people. Forgiveness can only come about when we have made assured peace within ourselves over a situation, meaning that we have worked through the emotional results well enough to let a situation go. Sometimes I wonder if there are some things we just can't forgive.

Well, for me, it depends on the situation for sure. There are times when it is easy to seek forgiveness from someone, or have them ask for it, and I offer it and everything is great from there. But then sometimes I will forgive someone but at the same time be cautious from there on out wondering if they are ever going to try something like that again.

i think sometimes it is very hard to forgive abnd there are somethings in life we just cannot forgive people for and even if we do forgive we will very rarely forget, i cannot forgive the people who have hurt me in life and certainly will never forget.

yes, I also cannot forgive any person so easily. Its ok when it comes to relationships, but otherwise I find it very tough to forgive someone. I sometimes feel I am not that kind, but then, that is my nature and I love being like that.

it takes a lot to get me upset enough to where i would need to forgive some one (as in some one close) but if i do get upset and hurt bad enough it is hard for me to forgive.. i think its mostly because i dont forget anything.. if i would forget things or forget them quicker it would be easy but it will annoy me for years

Hi intimate,It is indeed difficult forgiving friends,But after a lot of experiences in life you'will have the maturity to forgive others.I was like that but now I have learnt to forgive others,as we are humanbeings afterall, even we ourselves tend to commit mistakes sometimes,So I feel happy forgiving others.Thanks for sharing.HAPPY MYLOTTING.

Well, I easily forgive but I hardly forget. I used to collect memories because I am very sentimental and maybe the reason why I am very resentful is because everything that I encounter are engraved in my mind which is difficult to erase by simple means. Sometimes, even if I did extinguish the worse thing a person did to me, when I am reminded of it through the things that I encounter similar to it, then that fault haunts me again, which will make me mad at the person. And I will be more cautious than before to him/her.

So, I simply forgive, but just don't do the same thing again or I'll be on-guard.
