Update on theft to our house and car

That is a relief. Make sure that the court informs you when he is released so that you can coordinate the restitution with them and the Dept. of Parole and Probation. He will be required to get a job and you can file for his wages to be garnished so that a percentage of his pay goes to you.

another victim. At least the law in your area is

i agree but they need stifer penaltys, 3 years aint nothing he'll be back on the street doing the samething. and the city doesnt follow up on these retitution payments which sucks as well. im glad u got ur car back even tho it was damaged.

then so this is the first I'm hearing about it. He robbed
your house and stole your new car! That's horrible! At
least they caught him. I know that's only a small comfort.
I had my wallet stolen out of my pocketbook and I felt sick
that someone had the nerve to enter into my private
space. I have had friends steal things from my house, but
that's my fault. I hope you are feeling ok. I know it isn't not
much comfort, but at least he's in jail.

It is a good thing that he didn't get off with a slap on the wrist. However, be sure that you keep up with the courts and stuff to make sure that you get your money. He has to be made to pay for what he destroyed. Why do people think that it is okay to do these kinds of things. I don't understand why so many people act as though they should be taken care of by everyone else.

I am so sorry to hear that there was a burglary at your house and that you got your brand new car stolen. It is wonderful that the police found the burglar and I hope that whilst in prison he will learn his lesson and become a good person. I am pleased that you got your car back and three thousand dollars of damages. My mum's house was burgled years ago and I am so pleased that the thief didn't steal our parrot. He did cause damage in the house and stole some of my jewelry. I felt that my room had been trampled on and it wasn't a nice feeling that some criminal had taken some of my possessions. It was annoying that the police didn't find the burglar. I didn't get any compensation for what I lost. It must feel right that your burglar is now in jail. Good luck in the future.

You can just never predict how the punishment will go when it comes any illegal acts. I am glad they didnt just slap on the wrist as well..

At least you got your car back. Will the insurance pay for the damages?
Yeah, I very much doubt he will pay restitution.
But good he got a decent sentence for it.

Sorry to hear about your house being burglarized and your car stolen. I know that had to be very upsetting to and your family. I am glad that nobody got hurt physically. That is good that he was caught and is in jail where he belongs. He certainly did a lot of damage to your car and hope that you get paid for the damages. He will have to pay but I do not know how he will get a job with these charges against him. Justice was served fortunately.
