why do you think peopel cheat?

i have heard a few different sides to this, one being that their no longer happy in their relationship and they are looking for something different, and another being that they are too afraid to break up because they don't want to hurt the other by doing so, so they just cheat...but honestly i would think that that would hurt even worse...so i was just wondering what all of you think about this, do you know why some people cheat...me personally i think that if you want to cheat you should just end your relationship and go after that other person instead of being unfaithful to the one that you are with...thanks for taking the time to read my discussion and i hope that you all have a great day!

Most of the time it has been my experience (not personally) that people cheat because they want the excitement of a hidden relationship without losing the family and security that they have at home. A person who cheats is not of good moral character because lies and the breaking of promises goes along with cheating.

The reason that you said, plus probably a million different other reasons. Some people cheat when things are rough and their resistance is down, when a sympathetic ear is there for them. Some people cheat because they are scum bags. Some people cheat because they are not getting what they need from their partners. Like I said there are a million reasons why people do it. Each person has their own reasons I suppose. In the end I think they all learn that it is not worth it.
