Ok my Akita (shilo) gets in these running spells in the morning. She runs from the couch to the door back on the couch through the kitchen back on the couch back to the front door and so forth and so on for about 15 minutes at a whack. You dare not move during this time cause she weighs over 65 pounds and a colision could be deadly. Well she chased the little dog (mini daschound Corkie) into my chair this morning and plowed one of her paws into my hip. Yeah thats going to leave a mark. She is crazy and has no idea of her size. So when she is running it is like a runaway freight train.

you should put her on americas funniest vides lol. its good that shes a very active dog and she sounds like a very very happy one to. i prefer a dog thats energetic then just laying and not doing anything. even though the bigger the dog the more pain it can be when they do collide with you lol. you guys must have laugh feastes all the time lol.

My dogs are nowhere near the size or weight of Akita, but when they pull they certainly pull. I remember taking them for a walk when I was pregnant and my centre of gravity was a bit off. They sensed some animal in the bushes at the top of a hill and both pulled at the same time. Next thing I knew I was at the bottom of the hill with a rather scraped bottom, having been dragged all the way down! Needless to say, no treats for doggies that night & walkies swiftly concluded!

That's one of the reasons why my huband and I are CAT PEOPLE!!! I'm legally blind and he's going blind. The ex-wife's dog that we're taking care of is annoying enough. LOL he's not quite as big as yours. I would not be able to survive in a house tha ig with my lousy ision and almost non-existant balance.
