Did any of your grandparents go through the great depression?

Both sets of my grandparents went through the great depression. They were alive on Black tuesday the day the stock market crashed and the "beginning" of the great depression. My grandmothers were both 18 and my grandfathers were 22 at the time. All of my grandparents have gone on to be with the Lord but I have taken from them wisdom.

Never mind my grandparents, my parents were alive during the depression! Though they were only two and four years old. My grandparents are all gone now but I'm sure they would remember it well.

I learned a lot from all of my grandparents (no longer with us) about what you have to do during times like that. I think we are about to experience times like that in the near future and I've vividly been recalling all that they taught me.

One set of grandparents, yeah. My other set's a little bit younger. They haven't really talked about it alot because things have been decent for awhile. All my grandparents are still alive, as well. But yeah.

My parents were living during the great depression, they were children and really never talked about it. Now, I have a question to ask my mother. We today, haven't gotten there yet, but it seems it is not too far in the future. So many people are losing their jobs, me included, prices of everyday needs are going up, wages are staying the same. Rather scary. I can imagine how people who are making minimum wage are struggling. Sometimes you wonder if the US, is such the great country it is said to be. You know, taxes goes up every year, how can you be expected to pay taxes when you can not even pay your rent.
