Healthy Sleep?

How many hours of sleep is required everyday for a healthy body. I believe the quality of sleep is as important as the quantity of sleep. Sound sleep for 4 hours sometimes refreshes you much more than 8 hours of sleep full of disturbances.
I find that when I am too tired even a nap of 5 mins refreshes me enough to go on for few hours more. But I sleep at least 10 hours a day. Somehow I feel lethargic if I get less sleep.
How many hours do you sleep every day and what do you think should be the right time for your sleep?

8 hours of sleep is perfect for me. If I sleep for more than 8 hours, I will have headache. I think it also depends on your body and health.

studies suggest that we need to have at least 7 hours of UNINTERRUPTED sleep. i am guilty as charge on this one. i may be able to sleep with 7 hours or more but it would be a straight 7 hours. there are also some factors that won't permit me to have this, in my line of work in EMS, there's no way you can tell when an emergency arise. so as much as we wanted to have a good sound sleep that just never gonna happen when it comes to this type of job. during at night when you have available time to sleep, don't miss it and grab right to it or else you'll be wake awake until the morning when you had an alarm and you're off the street.

for me 6 hours of sleep is usually just right. sometimes i need more to catch up when i've been deprived or over exerted. otherwise i'm good with 6.
