Hurray, typhoon! Some of you know that I got a holiday off because a typhoon was hitting us. I felt so relaxed all day. I am surprised that I managed to do a lot of stuff today as well. Did something on my new website, spent some time on mylot, caught up with my DVDs, read a bit and had some lunch with mom. All these might seem trivial but I really don't need much to be happy/ content. I am just really happy that I don't need to deal with the hassles at work. What about you? What do you do when you are not working and what makes you happy?

I guess when I run out of work I "make" more but what made me happy yesterday was going out on the porch and setting up some hydroponic planters. It was about 113F (45 C) so if my vinca flowers survive transplanting in that, they will survive anything.
If they do, I will put photos up here in a new discussion, too!

Hello wondericequeen,
These days, any small things that happen can make me happy. Wow! I don't believe that a typhoon can really made you happy like this! Oh, yes... I understand that you didn't have to go to work, you managed to do stuff that you like to do, and of course, if I were you, I will be very happy too! *laughs*

I know exactly what you mean, and it doesn't take a lot to make me happy either. the thing that makes me the happiest, next to spending time with my husband, is going to the cafe, with my favourite music on my little CD player, a good book, and enjoying their wonderful mocha lattes. I have to do that atleast once a day.

On days I don't work, I visit my mom, clean the house, do the grocery shopping, surf the internet, maybe write an article or 2 for the internet, do some myLotting, and catch up on my "book work" for my profession. I try to squeeze in some time on the treadmill and in the pool and watch a little Court TV. Because my husband works full time, mostly from home, he's back in his office working. However, we get to have lunch together on those days sometimes (if I'm not with mom), so that's great also.
