I have 2 Cysts, Now what?

I had been on 2 different Anitibiotic Meds before this visit for a Urinary Track Infection. After all the Meds were gone. I was like something is still wrong, I am a LOT of pain. So my Husband drove me to the Emergency Room.
They did a Cat-Scan of my tummy, and said that I have a Cyst on my Liver and a Cyst on my Kidney. They recommended that I get a Colonoscopy and some Endoscopic Surgery to see what else may be causing the pain.
I am Sceduled to go the Hospitals Clinic on Wednesday the 20th. From there I imagine they will be setting up my apointments to have these tests done. I am wondering if they will do a biopsy on the Cysts. My Aunt had cancer. So this concerns me.
So I am just wondering if you have ever had a Cyst on you Liver Or Kidney? What did they do for it. What kind of treatments did you get. Were yours painful?
For my Friends those that do pray. Please pray for me I am in pain Daily.

I hope you know my prayer was said before I finished reading your post. I don't know the answer to all your questions as I've been fortunate enough to not have cysts. However I have had friends with them & they had what seemed to be a simple procedure & recovered nicely. I do ferverently pray you will be better soon & back here at myLot giving us some interesting things to think about.
CONGRATULATIONS on surpassing the 500 mark!!! Please let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do for you during this time. Hurry back as I miss you already!!!

I have had this on my mind for a little whiile,. I just felt I would talk about a bit today!
And I am not leaving ya! I am just going to have more tests ran is all!

As much as i know about cysts,wich isnt alot..
i dont think cyst are cancerous at all.. thats a tumor. and tumor and cysts have diffrent textures able to be seen in a cat-scan/xray wichever. that there is grand.
you said you were on 2 medication BEFORE you got the urinary tract infection? im not sure if the meds can cause that BUT i know for a fact that certin medacines react diffrent in various peoples systems and somtimes do cause cysts.
my sisters has had mutiple cysts on her overies as well as well as ovarian cancer,and she suffers from pcos...
I know that it is veary painful.

I was on a anibiotic for a Unrinary Track Infection, it did not work then had to take a second one right after that..
I am not sure what is causing the Cysts. I just know I do not like them.

I've never had any cysts that I know of at least but will certainly keep you in my prayers for healing and relief from the pain. Please keep us posted what is going on and what they find out on Wed.

If it is really a cyst, it is not cancer, but definitely have it thoroughly checked. The only cysts that I have had have been ovarian cysts and those can be shrunk using hormones (birth control pills). So I can't really answer your question, but I hope they figure out what it is and treat it ASAP so that you feel better. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear this Louise.
I have never had a cyst on my liver or kidney, but I have had many cysts on my ovaries, starting when I was 15 years old. At one point while I was pregnant with my twins, I had a cyst the size of a grapefruit and they were talking about surgically removing it. But it went away on it's own after I delivered the twins.
The only pain my cysts have ever caused me was some minor cramping when I was walking.
But at my age the doctors were not concerned with cancer.
I hope this works out for you, please give us updates.

Thank you so much! Tight now I am getting pain . I wish that it would just go away. I am sure that it will with time!

I do not believe that a cyst is cancerous, usually it is a tumor. If you said that they found a cyst, they may be able to shrink it with the right antibiotics.
I had a pelvic cyst, which was very very painful, I was on intravenous antibiotics for two weeks, and the cyst were shrunken, no surgery needed. I hope that is all that will be needed for you.
I will pray for you, because I know that God answers prayers.

Well that is great to know that it can be shrunken with antibiotics. I have already been on 2. hmm. So we will see if this is the route that is best for me!
I have been in pain for like 6 weeks now.
At least i have Mylot to help give me something to take my mind off of things a bit!
