What was the sweetest thing a child has ever done for you?

I was looking at a drawing my little nephew made for me this morning and I thought about the time he gave this to me and the reason why he did. I've kept this drawing because it always reminds me of how sweet he is and how children, in general, are always so keen on small things... Early this year I was going through a rough phase and there was one night that I went home crying... I tried hiding it from my mom and she actually didn't notice it... Then my nephew went and did his usual routine of hugging and kissing me. I tried to act normal and quickly went into my room. Little did I know that he actually saw my eyes and instead of commenting on this (my nephew is really sensitive to other people's feelings... he doesn't like to see other people cry), he went inside the room and gave me his first ever drawing (and he used highlighters for his drawing) and showed it to me... He told me of the little drawings that he made and that all his little stick people and animals were smiling.. and what made my heart melt was when he gave it to me and said that he was giving it to me because he wanted me to smile... That was the sweetest thing my nephew has done for me... He went and hugged me and said "don't cry anymore." I've never forgotten this and I've kept his first ever drawing on my wall... A little reminder of how a small child can make such a big impact on how we see things in life... These are one of the little things that we tend to overlook as grown ups... How a child can actually make you realize that you are actually loved... So has anyone had a really sweet experience with a child?

I had a child make me some hearts out of construction paper and glitter that I thought were very sweet. I wasnt expecting to get it and I thought it was a really nice thing to do. I kept it for a long time, until the paper was faded and the glue was kind of peeling off. Sometimes kids are very sweet. Not my nephews though, they pretty much think of themselves unfortunately.

Awww... that's so sweet. I actually keep stuff like that in my scrapbook. My trainees sometimes give me notes or handmade stuff which I compile. It's so nice to look at and reminisce at times.

I do also agree that children can say and do the sweetest things. My son is one of those kinds of kids. It never ceases to amaze me how much he learns in his young life. When he just comes out of no where and tells me that he loves me and gives me a hug is a joy like nothing else. Children can put a smile on your face and on your heart. God bless them. We need to be good to the kids and treat them right. They will always remember it.
