My husband has a chance to win $25,000!!

Our local radio station has a contest going on. What happened is you could sign up at the local pizza parlor. Once a day for 10 days, they picked 4 names from the entries. These 4 names were announced on the radio. If your name was announced, you had to be one of the first 2 to call in and then next weekend these 20 winners will go back to the pizza parlor for a reverse drawing. They will start picking names of the people who aren't the winners. If your name is the last one to be drawn, you win. Then you have a limited amount of time to open 3 bags of money that have the same amount of money in them. Last year, the winner won $500, but there are 3 bags in the money bags with $25,000.
Now the funny thing is, my son signed my husband up for the contest and never told my husband. Just by chance, my husband was driving and heard his name announced, so called immediately, so he is one of the participants in the game.

wow that's interesting. i haven't joined any contest like that.. since i am not active of those kind of contest..
but that's really great that your husband has a chance to join in that kind of contest and i wish that he could win to that
contest and just pray for it who knows your husband will win to that contest...

Wow- that sounds cool. I've never heard of a contest like that. I have never won any radio contests, but I've won some random drawings before.The best thing I ever won was a pair of World Series tickets (not a bad prize, eh?).

A set of World Series Tickets is a great prize to win! He hasnt' won anything yet, and the chances are still slim, but it is fun to think that he has a 1 in 20 chance of going threw the moneybags.

He was shocked to hear his name since he didn't know my son entered him! It was just luck that he happened to hear it and call in time. When he got home, he was telling us and my son told him that he entered him but forgot to tell him about it.
If he does win anything, he will give my son a nice chunk since he entered him.

That is cool. I hope your husband wins. I have won some stuff. I won a very nice bicycle once, I have also won a nice Kawasaki jacket, a $50 savings bond, A $25.00 Best Buy Cerificate, free tickets to a local minor league baseball team and last year my daughter won a raffle at her dance school, she got half of the years lessons for free, that saved us $150 dollars to that was nice, but I have never won any thing huge or extremely significant. But I have won a few things over the years.

Sounds like you are vrey lucky. We have never really won anything. The contest was this past Sunday and he didn't win:( The actual winner only walked away with $100. My husband ended up with 2 free buffets.

The biggest thing I've ever won from a radio station was 2 tickets to see a BSB concert, lol.
My mom won us a vacation to FL once - the room was paid for and we recieved 2 tickets to a Nascar race. We sold those tickets and went to SeaWorld :P

I would have done the same thing with the nascar tickets, but my husband would have been all over that.
My husband didn't end up winning. He did end up with 2 free buffets. The guy who won got $100, so they threw the money bags out and whoever found the three bags with the $25000 won $20 each.

At the time, my dad wasn't into and my brother was little. But, now, they watch the races. Then, they would have had a chance to actually be there! I'm glad we went to seaworld, though :P
