Yesterday I went to the outdoor market and I got corn just out of the field and peaches picked the day before. I think these wonderful things make up for some of
the late summer heat and smoke from the forest fires which make it so hard to be outside. I just boil the corn and eat it, others in the family like it with salt and butter but I just like it plain. I even love it cold. It never lasts long enough around here for me to make anything out of it. I have to use canned or frozen for that. The same with the peaches, I wash and eat, others like a little milk and sugar or even a smoothie. Fresh thing are the greatest.

Corn on the cob is excellent. I believe that truly good corn needs nothing added, so I generally eat mine plain.
Peaches are yummy too. I like the ones that are sweet enough that they don't need any sugar added.
Fresh fruits and veggies really are fantastic.
