I have been watching sales for TV series and movies from the 60's70's and some 80's. That was back when TV was good, sitcoms were funny and movies had a point.
I watch Amazon.com and watch theones I want and when they hit $15 for a season, I buy them. But I also wathc as if you spend $25 you get free shipping. SO far, I have been fortunate that I can get 2 seasons ($15 each) and that puts me over for the free shipping. Remember GOmer Pyle USMC? Newhart? Andy Griffith show? Just hilairous to the max. Fun and enjoyable.
Anyway, when it was on, I love the Mary Tyler Moore show - wanted to be like her and have that amazingly cute apartment like hers! And a great friend like Rhoda!! I got season 1 and 4 for $15 ea prior, but yesterday there was a sale at Amazon and it was BOGO!! My favorite way to shop! The season 2 and 3 were on sale for $23.99 each and with BOGO, I got not only the free shipping but the box sets for $12 each!
My goal is not only to have some good shows to watch for entertainment, but most likely will have to cancel cable and out here, if you don't have cable you don't even get the basic local channels - ABC

My biggest goal in bargain shopping is usually to find functional stuff to help organize STUFF, which proliferates if left unmanaged. So OfficeMax had these cute little acrylic cubes with pull out drawers and they stack, and even have a little clip to hold them together in a unit sor of mix and match. So after much deliberation I had bought one at regular price just to try out and it was lovely.
Well! Yesterday we went to OfficeMax just to look around and see what might be on sale and there were 7 of them all dusty in the scratch-n-dent markdown shelf. Not scratched or anything, just dusty. So I put all 7 in the cart but although each was clearly marked $3.80, they all rang up at $15.95 each. Wrong! The manager straightened it all out nicely after a while, though, and after all was said and done we considered it a good bit of shopping.

I think I know the drawers you are talking about - if so, I got the same ones at Tarhet for $7 each a few years ago and they were just the perfect size for my scrapbook supplies and papers! Stacked 2 high and got 3 across on my desk shelf and so much right there close at hand!
And don't ya hate that when something is marked a price and it rings up higher and it takes an act of God to get the register person to understand and fix it! IT's like they say "if the cash register says this price, that is what it is. We don't follow human markings". I go through that at Target sometimes - it was marked on the tag one thing or if there was a sign saying something else - I have been known to bring the sign with me to the register so I don't have to stand and wait while they call someone and that someone goes to "check" and comes back and says "no, that isn't the price" and I have to go back with them and show them that it was the price!!!
But good for you to get the deal. I am an organized person to and love those kinds of things! I wish (although probably should be thankful I'm not) that I lived close to a The Container Store - talke about heaven! But the nearest one is about 50 miles and 1 hour away, so I just dream!

Glad you got so much for your money
I went to visit my son on his birthday. We had a nice lunch which cost me nothing because I had vouchers from a survey site. We went to the cinema and got the tickets at a discount because the film started before 4pm. on the way we had called at a nearby supermarket and bought 2 cheese rolls, 2 cinnamon and sultana bagels, 2 chocolate sundaes and a bottle of water for less than the price of one large Coke at the cinema. He was after a PS2 game which we found 'pre-owned' at a good price... so, had a great day out and a gift! No goal other than my usual one of getting a good deal

Those were fantastic deals! Just makes you happy when you can do so much for so little! Certainly helps in the encouragement department when other things don't work out so well!
