Study: Bad joke tellers face hostility from listeners
Response to childish bad joke: insults, glares, silence or even blows
Younger the listener, the more likely an attack
Stupid joke insults the listener by suggesting they'll like something stupid
Have you ever wanted to hit anyone for telling a joke? Sounds pretty immature to me.

I have never been known to hit over a bad joke or hit someone for a bad joke, a dirty one yes, but a bad one no.

Well, I would think that is rather immature. I can't imagine actually hitting someone for a stupid joke. Well, I suppose if I were a member of a minority and the joke was poking fun at my minority. In that case, I would see the joke as an intentional insult.

Immature isn't even the word for this. I remember telling jokes as a kid, and never once did I get attacked for telling a bad joke. And I know I told a few stinkers in my day. Where did they do this study, and who are these kids parents? I have gotten groans, eye rolls, I've even gotten talked about for telling a bad joke, but never anything physical, not once.
