I know its not necessary buy some emails are more important than others so I try to keep it more clean and less cluttered.

I try to clean my email inbox every now and then. There are just so many things that I have to do and if there are tons of emails in my inbox and I need to look for something, it would just take too much of my time. So what I do is look into my emails every month or so and see which ones I dont really need to save. Usually these are emails that are forwarded messages or communication that have been long over already.

I delete ones that I'm not interested in straight away and empty the bin out regually (makes it easier to find ones you've just accidentally deleted when the bin's not full of a months worth of unwanted messages) There's no point keeping old emails you're never going to want or need to read again (like out of date special offers or survey links)
