Do you like GRETCHEN ESPINA as the FIRST PINOY IDOL?

Well, there was already a first Pinoy Idol and they scrapped her. They don't even have a viable reason for doing that. I think the Pinoy Dream Academy scholars are better singers than the Pinoy Idols. Just my 2 cents. :p

PINOY Idol sucks. To think it is a little sister of the US American Idol, what a shame. Why did they allow GMA to handle the show when we know they can't handle reality shows that good? At the very beginning, the chosen contestants were not excellent singers at all. So obviously, the winner would also be a mediocre one. I don't even know what Gretchen Espina looks like. LOL. Talk about mastery at scouting talents, go to ABS CBN. Look at the PDA Scholars and try to see where real talent resides. :)

Well the difference between the two shows is that the other is a school where the contestants do rigid training to improve their voice. While in Pinoy Idol it is purely concentrated as a competition and it is the effort of each contestant to develop according to how they would want to develop. Also the way they are chosen is at some point different. In PDA it is determined by judges then passed on to the viewers who they want to retain.
