Do you keep a list of topics you plan to start a discussion on?

When I started here in myLot, I have a list of topics I plan to start discussions on. At first I have a list of 40, but I found out that most of them have already been tackled by other members. From time to time I still list topics I want to discuss. It is helpful for me to list them first because they mostly come to my mind when I am not in front of the computer. And also, with this list, I would not run out of new discussions easily. Do you keep a list of topics you plan to start discussions on?

No I don't because I'm really an impromptu type of person. Also I try to avoid repeating same discussions fro mother members here. Also most of the time I find it hard to start an interesting discussion especially if I'm to preoccupied by a lot of thingsI usually just start one or two discussions daily

I am not really an impromptu person. When I start a discussion impromptu, the discussion tend to have a lot of defects like typo errors or things like "I should have said this first, maybe it should attract more readers, I should have made this the title". things like that. I really think about it so that I can attract more readers in my posts. have a nice day!

NOt for me, because i dun normally start discussions.. lol =D Actually i dun think it's really wrong to start the same discussions because nobody will wanna do that on purpose, unless they are really so lazy that they just cut and paste to make it their own.. pLUs, discussions can be the same as long as the words and description are different, that will be fine ^_^ hehe

I also think it is ok to start discussions on similar topics as long as it is not a copy-paste stuff. But some members here get irritated by it and I don't really want to be branded as a copycat because I always try to be unique in my discussions. Have a nice day!

I do not make a list of topics. I generally start a discussion as soon as I have thought of something. It was only once when I did not have access to a computer for three days and I thought of some interesting topics that I made a note of it in my diary and then started the discussions a few days later.

I try to keep a list because most of the time when I think of a discussion I am not in front of a computer and have no access to the internet yet. So I have to write it down so I won't forget it. Have a nice day!

No. I put them in as they occur to me. You go along with your postings thinking generally about everything and if an idea for a discussion comes up you put it in. Or, if you think of something otherwise you just keep it in mind to post.

I keep a list because a lot of ideas come to me when I am not in front of computer. And I think ideas come more when you are not really in a single place. They come from observations and other things and I think the list is helpful in that cases. Have a nice day!

I think it is a good idea to keep a discussion topic list because it helps you remember your ideas,I personally have a discussion topic list that I keep near the desktop that I use so that way if I feel like starting a discussion I have my ideas written down, and if I come up with more ideas I write them on the list, and this way I do not forget any of my ideas, since I sometimes have several ideas I want to use, and I get my fiance to look at my topics and tell me whether she thinks they are good topics or not.

The list is really helpful. It helps me to not forget the topics I want to start here in myLot. Some of the topics are great but some are not and it's cool you have your fiance to consult on which is good and which is not. Have a nice day!

I hope my discussions are not as silly as you are saying. I try to keep my discussions as unique and interesting as possible. But you know, they can get silly sometimes. I think keeping a list is a great help to have a lot of diverse topics because what you are thinking of when sitting is not the same when you are standing. Have a nice day!

Yes, sometimes I write things down that I want to do as a topic of discussion. Many times someone beats me to doing the same one or very simular.

I have a lot of ideas which were already started by other members here. I just discard them and think of another. I don't want to start similar discussions because I don't want members here to think I just copy my discussions. It is good to have a list so you won't forget it. have a nice day!

I have been a member of mylot for more than a year now... but i never made a list of the discussion that i want to start... although i should really have one... since i always tend to forget when i am already in front of the computer... this is why there are lots of days when i don't start one at all...

that is also why I list my discussions down. I don't want to forget them. I am a person who easily forgets things. And the next time I will only remember it would be when I read a discussion about it. Someone have beaten me to the topic then. have a nice day!

Sometimes I do write down whatever topic that pops out of my head especially when I'm outside cos I tend to forget things when I'm in front of my laptop but most of the time I do impromptu when I'm in the mood and I couldn't find any discussions to respond to. It's easy cos my topics usually are based on my personal life so I really don't have to think of making up stories just for the sake of starting a discussion of my own and that's why I don't always start one. Exciting things don't really happen to me all at once.

I mostly think about what discussions to start when I am riding the jeep or the bus and I don't do anything. I usually have a pen and some post-its. At other times, I would use the bus ticket as my paper. I think I get my discussions when not in front of the computer more because I see more things outside. Have a nice day!

From the day I have joined MyLot I did not keep any kind of list of topics. Its when I am using MyLot I try coming up a topic to start a discussion on. But its a good idea to keep a list of topics to discuss. I shall try to make one but the real problem which I am facing now is that any discussion I start, I do not get many responses from other MyLot members. I try posting my new discussion under the right intrest but still no good result obtained.

here are my tips for you: you should have a lot of active friends. the more active friends you have the more response you will receive. And you should respond to them too so they will respond to you. And then you should start discussions which are interesting and unique, easy to respond to, and a discussion where anyone can respond to. that is what I do to get a lot of responses. Have a nice day!

no, I don't but it looks I have to write down whenever I find something to write to mylot because I just can't find many ideas to start discussions. Sometimes I feel really inspired here and just start a few discussions one by one in a few hours but it doesn't take a long time to end. when it ends I just can't start many discussions for many days. It surely causes a decrease in my earnings of course and I just try to do better in order to reach the payout, and even more. by the way, I have to admit that you have a good inspiration and it is not easy to think of 40 discussions in a day! I think I also should start doing something similar in order not to lose anything I find :)

you should start writing down your discussions ideas. it is hard at first to come up with these ideas but somehow, you are training your mind to think when you are not thinking of anything. I do my thinking mostly when riding the bus. And I have my pen and paper ready. I have my girlfriend helping me when I came up with 40 topics to start. but I haven't really started all of it. Most of them are already started by some members here. And some of them I really don't know how to start. It is really hard to start a discussion which you are not really interested in. have a nice day!

I never have that many ideas for new discussions. I only start one when an idea comes into my mind for a good topic. If I think of a topic when I am away from the computer, and I do get most of my ideas when I'm outside, I will write it down in a notebook. If I'm at home I can write it on a piece of paper and put it on my worktable, so I will see it next time I go online.

I usually have some papers (usually bus tickets, receipts) with me when I think of some good topic to start with. I write it down at once. When I don't have papers, I just key in a note of it in my cell phone. I am not really good at remembering things. have a nice day!

I don't usually have a list of topics for mylot discussions, but if a few seeps into my brain, I will jot them down. I think it is a great idea to have a list of topics to start on. I may want to start a brainstorming session soon for myself.

You should have a brainstorming session. It is really rewarding. In my first days here, I have a brainstorming session with the help of my girlfriend and we came up with 40 topics. Of course, some of those have already been started here but there are some that I have been able to use. have a nice day!

It is helpful to make a list because sometimes I can't trust my memory. I have it today in my mind then once I face the computer I sometimes forget. That's why when I thought of some ideas I usually list it down then just do some amendments as I post if necessary.

I usually do amendments to the ideas. I think when ideas come to my mind they are raw diamonds which needs honing and processing to be really lustrous. have a nice day!

I usually also keep something with me where I write things that I would like to discuss here. It doesn't mean that I will use them all, or at all, but it's things that come to mind and I can refer back to that list when I can't think of anything to write LOL Usually it is just a note or a word that will remind me of what I want to talk about.

So far I have no list of topic when ever I sit before the computer and while surfing mylot is some topic come to my mind and I write. When ever while reading or while writing a response I get some new material I write on it. You are also write I think one must have some list. Because some time when we are engaged in other activities some ideas comes to our mind it can be helpful If we note that idea or topic. Withe this the discussion can be made more interesting and meaningful. How u like my views please comment.

No, I don't write a list of topics that I plan to start a discussion on. I am not that active in writing a discussion, I am more of a responder. When I was a newbie, I used to think a lot of ideas for new discussions, but can't think of anything anymore. Maybe I just start a discussion once in a while. but I respond around more than fifty discussions in a day.
