I am trying my best to stay upbeat, but it is not easy. I was really disappoinment today. I have been out of work for two months, due to a lay off. So many is really tight. Rent is due in four days, and I was worried about how it was going to get paid, there are many other bills pending as well. My husband has an online business, which is not netting much revenue. Since I have been home, I have taken on his bookeeping. He is terrible, haven't billed some people for years. Well I sent out invoices, and am awaiting payment on them. We received a check yesterday, and I was elated, because it would have been a help. My husband went to the bank today, called me to say that the bank says that that account has been closed. How can someone send you a check knowing that there are insuffient funds? Now, I am back to worrying about what I am going to do. I am very disappointed. How do you handle disappointments, do you take it with a grain of salt, or does it affect your mood?

dear sudalunts, i am not going to give you any encouraging words but will try to give you some suggestions is there any possible way for you to get some fast small business done i) maybe some beverage (juice ) stall in front of your house ...the investment is small .. you do not have to charge too much .. just enough to cover cost and a small revenue - this is the most easiest as you may already have a blender ii) maybe some repacking ~ if you are near a school area ~ just try to get bulk items like chocolate or biscuits then .. repack it into small packages and sell it there iii) if you have more money to invest then you can do some small catering .. you can see tru the internet for some small home business ideas for fast cash .. sorry if i am out of topic, but instead of worrying it is better to find ways to get up and move forward ...there is no point being depressed cheers and best of luck

I appreciate, the time you took to add some encouragement. I will definitely look into some of the things you mentioned. Sometimes when things look bleak, instead of acting, it is easier for us to claim defeat. thank you for responding, and what you said is so very true. Have a great day and continue with your great responsing on mylot.

Anymore I just try to let disappointments roll off my back. I've just gotten to the point that I know that it's really bad. However there is not much I can do to change the situation. It is what it is. I may be worried about it or upset about it, but doing nothing but worrying about it or getting really upset doesn't help out at all. I'd rather do something to try and change the situation.

You are right, divert your attention to something else. I am handling it pretty. I have not stressed myself out, because I know it is what it is. I am confident that things will work out. I am learning how to deal with things one day at a time, because the same things will be waiting for you when you wake up in the morning, unless they were resolved. Thanks for responding, and have a great day.

I know about disappointment. Sometimes they seem to happen a lot. I just try to take it in stride and be patient. Sometimes things have a way of working themselves through. Life can throw you a curve ball once in a while and you just have to keep a good attitude or it will drive you nuts.

You are certainly right. I am fighting with myself to deal with it, and not to get myself in the valley. As of late, I have been handling myself pretty good. I am trying to stay upbeat and positive. Just now when I checked the mail, there was another payment coming in. I hope this one does not disappoint me thanks for responding, and have a great day
