I have a water fountain for my cat, Baby. He wasn't drinking enough water. He didn't want to drink out of his bowl, he wanted to drink out of our bathtub. When I wouldn't let him drink from the water coming out of the bathtub faucet, he wouldn't drink and he got sick. The Doctor told me to get him a water fountain. I don't even have one for my garden for me, now I have one for my cat.

Didn't know there was such a thing. Sounds like something I would like to buy. Where did you get the water fountain? I could guess maybe PetSmart.
I fill both the cat and dog's water bowls each day. They seem to be fine with tap water. Our cat does prefer very cold water. Sometimes I give her cold, bottled water and she's really content.
Our daughter keeps an inverted gallon of water for her dog full at all times. It's great and seems to stay cold since she keeps it near the a/c floor vent. She has a larger dog than we do so it wouldn't be something our little dashound would like. Would take him a year to drink it.

My cat seems to like running water. Yes, PetSmart has a few different fountains. Sounds like your water situation is all taken care of, thanks and take care

I'm a bit confused...do you mean one of those little water fountains you sit on a table in your home? I thought about getting one but it never occured to me that Morgi could benefit from it. I do remember reading that cats prefer moving water to standing water.

These plug in and are specifically for animals, they can be on the floor next to their food dish. I suppose any water fountain would work and that Morgi would probably drink form it.

Hey, that sounds like a really cool apparatus! I guess you just fill it up with water and it keeps re-circulating that so the cat can drink it? That's a very interesting invention. Glad to hear your cat is all better now (well, I hope he is).

Yes, he doesn't seem to be trying to give himself dehydration any more. It is a cool apparatus. Mine is a drinkwell, but there is also pet fountain brand (at least those two). PetSmart has them and he likes to drink running water. Thanks and take care

That to me would be a waste of money. The dog licks his butt and eats his and other dog's crap. I don't think a water fountain would do a whole lot to help him or his cleanliness.

It's not about my cat's cleanliness, my cat baths at least 4 times a day by giving himself a bath. It's about him not drinking enough water in the heat.
