My favorite way to camp is with just a blanket and my backpack lol!
But I often camp with a tent.
I don't do campers or anything bigger than a tent..'cause it feels less like camping and more like a road-trip to me, heh.

True, it's why we don't take my little brother...who has serious hygiene issues, and my Dad doesn't do camping, so usually its just my Mom and me...or just me.

You do like to rough it! The more family you have to take with you, the more "stuff" you have to take when you camp!

I have a small camper with a couch that pulls to make a double bed, my table and
seats turn into a single bed and one more single that is above the hitch.
It has a toilet and a small kitchen sink but no shower.
Has a stove, refridge and gas or electric lights depending on if we
take it out in the wilds or a park.Nothing fancy!

We had a big one-ton dually and a 35 ft. fifth wheel but we were lucky enough to sell it before gas prices got too bad. We're now looking at getting maybe a Chevy Avalanche and a small pull type travel trailer - something that won't take so much gas.

I have not been camping at all since last year when a bear destroyed my tent. But I like any kind of camping... except for the kind that is done in a big RV, sitting inside at night, cooking on a stove and watching tv!!! May as well stay at home!! It is not camping in my opinion without a campfire, in fact I like campfires so much that sometimes I make one in my backyard!

A lot of areas in the mountains will not allow camping in tents or in popup tent campers because of the danger from animals.

I could do with less when I was younger, but now that I am older, I prefer more comfort.

I'm a rough it kinda guy. I don't know how you can call what a lot of people do camping. I can't believe the people who take their huge RV out to camp, with the satellite dish attached to the TV, some power generator, and everything. I don't think showers should be had on campings either! Clean in a lake or a river! Have some fun, get dirty, sleep on the ground, reconnect with nature. That is what it is about!

We once camped next to a couple of families over the 4th of July holiday - they spent the entire weekend trying to get their satellite dishes aimed so they could watch their ballgames on television.

I was always taught that it ain't campin if you bring shelter. I have always gone hunting and camping, knowing that when I get there, before I do anything, i'll have to build a makeshift shelter before I can do anything else. Since i've grown up i've bought a camper that is fun to camp in when we go to a new place we have never been. But i've definitely been known to sleep outside under the stars beside my rv.

I prefer to camp with the weather is a little cooler - I like to have a campfire and it's not fun if it's too hot to sit around the campfire!

I have only really gone camping once. But it was with camper, camp fire, etc. That, to me, is the only way to camp. I don't think of being in an RV as camping. It is a kind of way to go vacationing, but to me camping means just that...making a camp. Oh, I also remember going on weekend trips with my church and we used a tent for that. Now I didn't like that too well. I couldn't sleep on the ground at night....it was so cold I felt like I was laying in ice water. It wouldn't be bad on a cot though. I would use an RV now probably if I had it available. I just would be going to fish and swim. I am a lot older now and disabled, so roughing it might be a little too rough for me these days.

We tent camped with the kids when we were younger, but I agree that sleeping on the ground is not something that I enjoy.

I like a little of both worlds too. I love cooking over a open fire pit and telling storie around the fire pit but when it's time to go to bed i cant lay on the hard ground, i need a semi soft bed.
