 I find a lot of Christian music artists are headed towards the mainstream music industry. With that success, do you think they are growing farther away from their "Christian roots"?

Personally i enjoy all genre of music,for me it has to do more with the lyrics. | |

I once wrote a song called, 'I got news for you', when I wrote the song the audience that I wanted to reach was persons who were cheating on their significant others (both christian and non-christian).this song may not be term a 'christian song',but the reason i wrote it is, when I look at how many families have been broken up due to extra marital affairs; something stirred within me that's cause me to write the song,I'm praying that when someone who is cheating on their significant others hears it, it will cause them to stop and think about their actions and make a change for the better.

If they are able to make it in the secular music business without letting go of their faith, then they are successful in all aspects. You can be a part of the secular world and still be strong in your spiritual beliefs.

| 4. KrauseHome (13406) | 1 year ago |  Well, for me, I would think it depends a lot on where there Heart really lies and where the music tends to be at the moment as well. Others that said if they are still choosing to walk a life with God, and do the other than that does not make them any less, but then there are Christian singers out there I would consider very secular as well, and would have a hard time following them as Christians as well, so it can go both ways for sure.

A song is a Christian song not because it is written by a Christian but the lyrics speaks of Christ, and since the lyrics speak of Christ, the music should also match the lyrics.
